Almost everyone likes pies. With any filling. Baked and fried. Butter and unleavened dough. They have always been a signature dish on a festive and everyday table. Do you know what “bomb” pies look like? Why are they called that? Because such pies are small, round and deliciously delicious!

Tomato Bombs

The recipe for this delicacy is the simplest, and at one time you can cook it at once of several types. Stuffed tomatoes are used as a filling . Such "bomb" -cakes are prepared like this: first the dough is kneaded. Any one will do - yeast, plain or puff. Well, for example: 3 cups flour, a little salt, eggs, ¾ cup water. The dough is kneading steep, elastic, should not stick to your hands. In terms of consistency and properties, it is similar to the one from which homemade noodles are made. If necessary, add flour. Roll into a ball and let stand, covering with a towel. Engage while stuffing in the "bomb" -cakes. Cut the small tomatoes in half, carefully cutting the stem. Remove the middle with a teaspoon. We take the minced meat as follows: firstly, meat passed through a meat grinder mixed with egg, salt, fried onions, pepper (you can also already fried or boiled); secondly, mash 200 grams of feta cheese into a homogeneous mass, mix with crushed garlic (3 cloves), pepper, finely chopped dill and parsley. Add greens, by the way, to the meat. Add the minced meat to the tomatoes. Now that the dough has rested, cut it into pieces and roll it into a wide layer. The thickness should be small, 1-1.5 mm. We take a small saucer and cut out circles, from which we will sculpt “bombs” -cakes. In the middle of the mug of dough we put the stuffed tomato, on top of the second circle.

The edges are well greased with a beaten egg and carefully pinch. Pour a lot of oil into a cast iron or deep frying pan, heat it and fry our pies until cooked. Before serving, they need to be laid out on a paper towel to remove excess fat. These are delicious pies with filling - “bombs” - we have succeeded: crispy, juicy, mouth-watering!

Apple Bomb Attack

Pies with apples are a classic of culinary art, and it will always be relevant. Especially if you combine it with modern delicacies as sauces and other delicious additions. We prepare yeast dough in the following proportions: 1 kg of sifted wheat flour requires warm fresh milk - 2 and a half cups, yeast - 30 grams (fresh), butter or baking margarine - a pack (150-200 grams), salt - to taste , eggs - 2 pcs., sugar - 3-4 tablespoons or more (as you wish).

Knead it with a piece of flour, let it brew, then knead thoroughly again, put it in the heat again for raising. Do not forget about vanilla! The finished dough for pies "bomb" (a recipe in the oven for baking is intended, although you can fry them) also roll and cut. You can cut into small cakes, stretch them with your hands. Put apple filling in the middle (apples, diced, sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon), cover with a second flat cake, tighten the edges together. Grease the prepared pies with butter, leave them to stand for about 15 minutes, then anoint them with an egg and bake in a hot oven until cooked, until golden brown. When serving, pour caramel sauce.
