Hip joint trocharteritis: symptoms, types and therapy

Hip joints experience a significant load, because they perform the functions of ensuring the movement of our body, which increases the risk of various pathologies. Increasingly, patients of retirement age are diagnosed with trocharteritis of the hip joint. Symptoms appear suddenly and abruptly after a long walk or increased physical activity.

What is a disease? This is an inflammatory process of muscle tissue, ligaments and tendons. According to medical data, the disease is recorded mainly in menopausal women, when hormonal changes in the body begin. However, trochenteritis can also develop in young women as a result of trauma or rheumatoid arthritis. The stronger sex is less susceptible to inflammation of the femoral tendons due to the physiological strength of these tissues.

Disease classification

hip trochanteritis symptoms

Modern medicine describes three sources that cause trocharteritis of the hip joint. Symptoms appear paroxysmal, concentrated in the region of the gluteal tendons. The pain syndrome becomes more intense during movement. At rest, unpleasant sensations pass. There are three types of disease:

  1. Tuberculosis is the most common type, occurs against the background of an infectious disease. The destruction of joints and bones. It is detected with advanced stages.
  2. Septic look. The causative agent is pathogenic microbes (often staphylococci). If timely help is not provided, then the infection will completely destroy the bone. An urgent operation on the hip joint will be required.
  3. Aseptic type occurs with various anomalies of the skeleton, damage, microtrauma, overload and hypothermia. Inflammation is diagnosed in the bursa (synovial sac).

General clinical picture

hip surgery

Hip joint trocharteritis, the symptoms of which are characterized by throbbing pains in the buttocks, does not affect motor activity. The patient is free to rotate his legs in different directions. With increased load (walking, running, exercise, wearing weight), a strong pain syndrome occurs. Fever and slight fever may occur.

Manifestations in different forms

hip trochanteritis treatment

Tuberculous trocharteritis of the hip joint, the symptoms of which are mild, begins slowly. The pain syndrome, as a rule, is localized in the gluteal tendons, with palpation, unpleasant sensations increase. With septic and aseptic forms, inflammation develops acutely, it can be accompanied by vegetative-vascular disorders.

Irradiation of pain often goes into the inguinal zone. Diagnosis is extremely difficult, since visual manifestations can indicate a number of pathologies of the musculoskeletal system. Very often, patients for a long time treat a completely different disease, exacerbating the situation.

Medical research

For complaints alone, it is almost impossible to establish a correct and accurate diagnosis. The following diseases have similar clinical manifestations: coxarthrosis, femoral hernia, dysplasia, and other diseases. A competent specialist conducts not only palpation and examination, observing the movements and reaction of the patient, but also prescribes the passage of ultrasound, radiography, MRI (to exclude the tumor). Be sure to take a biochemical blood test and rheumatic tests (with trochanteritis, the results are negative).

How is hip trochanteritis treated ?

trocharteritis treatment with folk remedies

Therapy directly depends on the form of the identified disease. In the case of tuberculosis, pharmaceutical medications are prescribed that inhibit the pathogen. Sometimes removal of the affected tissue is required.

The aseptic form undergoes anti-inflammatory treatment. Pain medications, massages, topical ointments, physiotherapeutic procedures and vitamin complexes that support the immune system are prescribed. After stopping the acute period, therapeutic exercises are performed.

With septic trochanteritis, prolonged therapy with antibacterial agents (in large doses) is required. In addition, injections are indicated to relieve the inflammatory process in the bursa. In severe cases, surgery is prescribed on the hip joint (bursectomy).

After surgery, gypsum is applied to the leg. The outlook is generally positive. Alternative remedies can be used for quick rehabilitation. Healers recommend the use of anti-inflammatory decoctions and plant-based ointments that prevent trochenteritis.

Treatment with folk remedies for an inflamed joint is rational and effective. We offer several proven recipes:

  1. Three lemons, together with the peel, cut into medium slices and pour three liters of boiling water. When the solution cools down (after about an hour), add 50 g of natural honey, shake well and consume for a month - a large spoon per day.
  2. We are preparing a healing infusion: take a half-liter container, fill it to the top with pine buds and sugar (layers). Leave in a dark room for seven days. Inside - twice a day for 15 ml. Can be used externally - rub into a sore spot.
  3. We make an ointment from pork fat (three hundred grams) and the root of the infidelity (200 g). Boil the mixture for five minutes and treat the joints. Store the drug in a refrigerator.

The stems and leaves of celandine have a similar effect. They make healing cream. The recipe is as follows: mix 7-8 large tablespoons of chopped grass with 10 ml of olive oil. Insist two weeks. The ointment has an analgesic effect and relieves inflammation.
