Michal Zhebrovsky is a Polish actor born in 1972. Since childhood, he knew that he wanted to be engaged in acting, so at the first opportunity he joined the circle of reciters.

In 1991, Zhebrovsky became a student at the Warsaw Theater Academy. In the third year, a student with such a bright appearance was noticed by several directors and invited to their projects. First, Zhebrovsky appeared in a television play called "Samovolka", and then got the role in the thriller "Let’s rent a room."

When Michal graduated from the academy, he was invited to play in the Public Theater. Zygmunt Hübner, in which the actor worked for two years. Zhebrovsky immediately developed everything with the theater: the very first debut on the stage was awarded a high prize at the XIII Theater School Review in Lodz. Since then, the actor’s career has been firmly connected with the theater scene.

In the movie, Michal starred infrequently. In his filmography, only 25 works. This is not enough for a professional who began his career 22 years ago. But in 2010, the actor opened his own theater in Warsaw under the name "Sixth Floor".

“Fire and Sword” is a picture that made Michal Zhebrovsky famous in at least seven countries: Poland, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Finland, Hungary, Spain and Russia - it was in these states that the famous film by Jerzy Hoffmann was shown in 1999.

The action in "Fire and Sword" takes place against the backdrop of the Civil War of 1648, which covered part of the Ukrainian and Polish lands. The leader of the Cossacks and peasants who rebelled against the Polish lords was Bogdan Khmelnitsky.

Michal Zhebrovsky received a central role in historical drama. His character Jan Skrzetuski becomes a participant not only in hostilities in which he stands on the side of the Polish king, but also as a hero of a love triangle (Jan, Polish Princess Elena and the Cossack Bogun in love with her).

“Fire and Sword” turned out to be the most expensive Polish painting of the 20th century. Her budget amounted to 24 million zlotys. True, a year later this record was broken by Jerzy Kavalerovich’s drama “Kamo Gryadeshi”.

Together with Mikhail Zhebrovsky in the historical film Jerzy Hoffmann, Alexander Domogarov, Isabella Skorupko, Krzysztof Kovalevsky, Bogdan Stupka, Ruslana Pisanka and many other famous actors starred.

The painting “The Witcher” was shown on Polish television in November 2001. Subsequently, its expanded version in the form of a mini-series was released. Michal Zhebrovsky, whose films have already earned the young actor fame, after the release of The Witcher on the screens, turned into a Polish movie star No. 1.

Geralt is a witcher, a mutant magician born to help people. What he does, using superpowers and exterminating monsters, vampires, werewolves and other evil spirits bothering the civilian population. Once he becomes under the banners of a small kingdom to protect him from invaders. The Witcher Geralt is entrusted with an important mission - to return the kidnapped princess to his native land, and he goes in search of her, destroying enemies everywhere.

Michal Zhebrovsky got used to the role of the magical "superman", for which he was nominated for the Orli-2002 award as the best actor.

Michal Zhebrovsky, whose filmography by 2002 consisted exclusively of Polish paintings, decided to try his hand at Hollywood and got a role in the Oscar-winning film “The Pianist”.

In the story, the brilliant Polish pianist Vladislav Shpilman (Adrien Brody) has Jewish roots. And he has a hard time when in the 39th the Nazis came to Poland. The pianist miraculously avoids imprisonment in the Warsaw ghetto, but he has to hide from the Germans in rented apartments, and then in dilapidated areas. Once a German (Thomas Kretschman) finds him, but doesn’t turn in the Gestapo, but, on the contrary, feeds and brings clothes.

After some time, Soviet troops enter the city. Shpilman manages to escape death, but he cannot save the German officer who gave him life: he dies in the Soviet prisoner of war camp.

Zhebrovsky played an episodic role of Yurek in the film.

The Secret of Westerplatte

Actor Michal Zhebrovsky continues to act in films today. One of his latest projects is the war film The Secret of Westerplatte.

Again the plot of the film takes us to September 1939. The German attack began with the destruction of the Polish garrison on the Westerplatte peninsula. Michal Zhebrovsky played in the film a real character - Henrik Sukharsky.

Sukharsky from December 1938 to September 7, 1939 was the commandant of the Transport Military Warehouse on Westerplatte. When the massive German offensive began, he insisted on the surrender of the Polish garrison. As a result, surrender was nevertheless declared, and Henrik Sukharsky stayed in German concentration camps until the end of World War II.

Zhebrovsky married quite late - at the age of 37. His chosen one was Alexandra Adamchik. By profession, the girl is a marketer. And thirteen years younger than her husband. Michal Zhebrovsky, whose wife recently gave birth to a son, became a father exactly one year after the wedding.
