In modern medicine, Methylurauil (candles) is used as a drug that enhances metabolic processes and accelerates regeneration at the cellular level. This medicine is available in the form of white suppositories, sometimes with a yellowish or cream tint.
"Methyluracil" (suppositories): pharmacological properties and composition of the drug
One suppository of this drug contains about 0.5 grams of methiuratsil, which is the main active ingredient. In addition to it, standard auxiliary components of the suppository base are used here.
As already mentioned, this tool stimulates tissue regeneration at the cellular level. This means that the components of the drug accelerate the processes of cell division and maturation, and in completely different tissues and organs. In addition, the drug affects the processes of blood formation, increasing the number of white blood cells in the blood, which, accordingly, increases the level of immune defense of the body.

Due to its properties, this drug has a fairly wide range of uses. First of all, it is prescribed in the presence of various kinds of tissue damage - it can be wounds or burns that slowly heal, as well as bone fractures.
On the other hand, this medicine is used for blood diseases such as:
- aleukia - the absence of leukocytes;
- leukopenia - a decrease in the number of leukocytes;
- agranulocytosis - a decrease in the number of granulocytes (forms of leukocytes);
Methyluracil is effective in inflammatory processes in the intestines - proctitis, sigmoiditis, colitis and others. It is prescribed to patients with peptic ulcer of the intestine and stomach. The medicine is indispensable in the presence of radiation injuries of the body. It is used in complex therapy for hepatitis and pancreatitis.

It is not recommended to use this drug without permission. The attending physician will tell you about the rules of use and dosage of the drug.
First, the suppository must be freed from the packaging - for this purpose, cut it with scissors along the contour of the candle. The extracted drug must be inserted into the anal passage as deep as possible. After that, lie down for half an hour - this will ensure complete dissolution and absorption of the drug.
Children aged three to eight years are recommended no more than half a candle once a day. Adolescents under the age of fifteen can take no more than one suppository. Adults are shown the use of 1–4 suppositories per day. If necessary, you can increase the dose to two suppositories four times a day. The duration of treatment is different - it is weeks to a month. But once again it is worth noting that you will receive exact instructions only from the doctor.
"Methyluracil" (suppositories): contraindications
These drugs are not recommended for use in the presence of malignant bone marrow diseases. In no case should it be prescribed if the patient is diagnosed with leukemia with an acute or chronic course. Contraindications include kidney disease and the presence of malignant growth-prone tumors in the gastrointestinal tract.
If a person is allergic to any of the components of the drug, then its use should be discarded. "Methyluracil" (suppositories) during pregnancy are also not recommended. The drug is contraindicated in children under the age of three years.
No side effects were recorded - suppositories are quite well perceived by the body. In some cases, immediately after administration of the suppository, slight itching and burning in the anus may occur.
Store the medicine in a cool, dry and dark place that is not accessible to children.
