How to prepare a horseradish snack

Do you like hot condiments? In this case, a horseradish snack will be a real find for you. It is very simple to cook it - even the most inexperienced housewife can do it. To prepare it, you will need a kilogram of tomatoes. Of course, they should be completely ripe and, preferably, fleshy. They need to be scalded with pre-prepared boiling water, as soon as you see that the skin on the tomatoes is cracked, begin to remove it. Once you complete these steps, cut out all the stalks and cut each tomato into four parts.

What a shitty snack without its main ingredient - horseradish? Yes, no! That's why the next ingredient that you need to add to it is horseradish, or more precisely, its root. In the event that you use one kilogram of tomato, you will need about 200 grams of horseradish root, that is, exactly five times less. The roots must be washed and cleaned. Then cut them into small pieces.

As you know, a horseradish snack should also be spicy, so be sure to add garlic to it - about 300 grams will be enough. Before adding it needs to be cleaned and crushed a little.

And now it's time to go directly to the preparation of the snack itself. And you need to start, of course, with horseradish. Pieces of horseradish root need to be grated. As an alternative, you can use a meat grinder - it will also grind the roots to the desired state. After that, roll tomatoes and garlic through a meat grinder. Now you just have to salt the appetizer to taste, add 100 grams of granulated sugar and three tablespoons of vegetable oil to it. Horseradish appetizer is also seasoned with six percent vinegar - this gives a great piquancy to its taste.

After all the above steps, you need to lay out the snack in pre-prepared jars and roll it under the lid. Now the dish is ready.

I would also like to give some tips that will certainly be useful to any housewife in the process of preparing snacks. First of all, you should definitely remember that for chopping horseradish it is better not to choose manual meat grinders. For this purpose, it is advisable to use electrical appliances, such as blenders or electric meat grinders - this way you can protect yourself from sudden tears that may appear due to the aroma of horseradish.

I would also like to give a small, but at the same time very useful advice on brushing the roots. Start this operation only with roots pre-soaked in ordinary water - the skin is much easier to remove - you only need to scrape it off with a knife. Soaking it may take only about two hours - no more time is required.
