The product of the Weiner brothers “The Cure Against Fear” was especially popular. Therefore, it was filmed twice: in 1978 (this will be discussed later) and in 1989 (it was a mini-series called "Entrance to the Labyrinth"). So what kind of medicine did they add to captain Pozdnyakov against fear? What is included in its composition? Who invented it? We'll figure out.
Story line. Poisoning and kidnapping
The film takes place in the late seventies of the twentieth century. The local policeman - captain Pozdnyakov - was poisoned by unknown criminals. They took his service weapon and official ID from him.
The head of the department, General Sharapov, initiated an internal audit against the captain. And this inspection should be carried out by the inspector of the criminal investigation department, Captain Tikhonov.
According to the results of a medical examination, Pozdnyakov was poisoned with an unknown substance. To understand the cure for fear (the same unknown substance) was used, Tikhonov had to turn to Professor Panafidin, who is a leading specialist in the field of medications. The conclusion of the medical experts was a shock for Panfindin: he realized that the unknown substance that was applied to captain Pozdnyakov was a drug that Panfindin himself was working on. It was a very powerful tranquilizer called Metaproptisol.
What is this medicine?
This same Metaproptisol, or simply, a medicine against fear, was to make a real revolution in the field of medicine. And since the professor, together with his institute, was engaged in the development of this problem, Panafidin doubts that at least someone else, besides himself and his staff, will be able to synthesize this substance in artisanal, so to speak, home conditions, without resorting to special equipment. Moreover, neither he, nor any of his team (the professor is sure of this) can "merge" information about what it is - a medicine against fear. Actors and roles in this film, they characterize each hero as well as possible, both positive and negative.

And the cast was selected as well as possible. Alexander Fatyushin was invited to the role of captain Stanislav Tikhonov (voiced by Alexei Zolotnitsky in the film); for the role of captain Pozdnyakov - Vladimir Sedov; Professor Panafidin - Vyacheslav Shalevich; Vladimir Lyzhin - Sergey Desnitsky. Other roles were starred by Olga Naumenko, Georgy Zhzhenov, Alexander Vokach, Zinaida Kiriyenko and others ...
Story line. Tricky plan
So, returning to the fact that the cure for fear was still invented, the investigator needs to figure out what's what. Tikhonov absolutely trusts the results of the examination. Now he needs to find the genius who created this strange medicine against fear, which was previously considered completely impossible. After all, the only way he can find the criminal.
Now you can think about something else. A group of criminals developed a rather cunning plan that could bring them significant profits. This idea has been considered for a very long time. Enrichment options were developed, fake documents were used. Risk was needed, and justified. Failure was not allowed because the result could be imprisonment.
Their hope was for the latest drugs developed in medicine, not yet fully studied and tested. But for the bandits it was only on hand. Because of his absent-mindedness, the honest police captain Pozdnyakov fell into the trap of criminals. He drinks one of these drugs and faints, after which the bandits steal his weapons and documents. A little later, they begin to use Pozdnyakov's official identity card ...
Selective Theft
Pretty soon there are documents of Pozdnyakov and his weapons. As it became known to the police, unknown until the criminals came to different people, posing as the servants of the law, with searches and seized money and jewelry. But Captain Tikhonov realized that the criminals did not “clean” ordinary Soviet people, but family members of the “Athlete Fisherman” collective who were convicted of embezzlement of state property.
That was the story. And a few years after the release of this picture was shot a five-part series called "Entrance to the Maze." And this version of the work of the Weiners was very popular among the inhabitants of the Country of Soviets.
In 2013, another series was shot with the same name - “Cure Against Fear”. All his series (and there were 16) spoke about the talented surgeon Andrei Kovalev. But this is a completely different story.
And until now, all the versions of the film adaptation of the novel are watched by a huge number of viewers. It probably says something, doesn't it?
