Faced closely with the maniac Sailar, Peter Petrelli took over his talent to understand the structure of things, but the guy got an all-devouring thirst for new knowledge and murders of this man. Because of this, the hero became a real threat, and his father took measures, depriving the younger Petrelli of all his talents.
A little later, Peter was able to restore the gift, but he was much weaker than before. Now he could copy only one foreign talent at a time and only in the presence of his “donor”.
First season
At the beginning of events, Peter Petrelli is trying to figure out his gift and how to use it for the common good.
Having met with the addict painter Isaac Mendez, the guy takes over his ability to paint the future and learns about the atomic explosion threatening New York. Later, meeting with Hiro from the future, he realizes that he must save Claire Bennett from the hands of Sailar.
Despite the fact that he was destined to die, Peter saves the poor thing and in return receives her gift for self-healing, thanks to which he survives.
Having fallen in love with Isaac’s girl, Simone, Peter has an affair with her.
However, during a quarrel with the artist, the guy becomes an involuntary cause of her death. Trying to shoot Peter, who became invisible, Isaac mortally wounds Simone, and she dies in the arms of her lover.
Having learned to control his abilities with the help of the invisible man Claude, the younger Petrelli learns that he is actively hunted by Sylar, who wants to get his gift. Only thanks to the help of researcher Mohinder and Claire (who turns out to be the illegitimate daughter of Nathan Petrelli), Peter manages to escape from the hands of Silar.
Trying to find this villain and neutralize him, the guy accidentally assumes the ability to radiate radiation and realizes that he should cause the predicted nuclear explosion in New York. Enraged after the fight with Sylar, Peter begins to ignite, unable to control himself. However, Nathan helps him by taking his brother high into the sky, where he explodes.
Second season
After the explosion, Peter manages to survive, but he does not remember anything about himself.
Once in Ireland, he lives there for a while and has a relationship with a girl named Caitlin. Accidentally immersed in a trance, a guy draws his girlfriend in Montreal. To understand what all this means, they go to Canada.
Using Hiro’s ability to travel in time, Peter finds himself in the future and learns about the shanti virus, which killed almost all the inhabitants of the planet.
Returning to the present, the hero tries to stop this fateful event, but out of ignorance, he becomes a tool in the hands of the cruel immortal Adam Monroe. This man convinces Peter that he also wants to stop the spread of the virus, while in reality he intends to release it into the world. Through the efforts of Peter and Hiro Adam, the virus can be eliminated.
At the end of the season, the Petrelli brothers decide to tell the world about their talents, but Peter comes from the future and wounds Nathan.
Third season
The hero finds himself in the future, where he accidentally takes over the main ability of Silar. Tormented by the thirst for murder, Peter is unable to control himself. To stop him, the guy’s father robs his son of all his abilities and imprisoned in one of the laboratories. From there, Petrelli saves Sylar.
Having quarreled with his brother, Peter, together with the Haitian, open a hunt for Arthur Petrelli, but he is helped by Nathan and Sylar, who considers himself the son of Arthur. When at the end the psychopath finds out that the head of the Petrelli family was lying to him, he helps Peter and the Haitian kill Arthur.
Fourth season
Nathan began working for the state special forces hunting heroes. Petrelli himself skillfully manages to hide his abilities from them.
Peter and several other heroes are in the hands of the unit. The captured are sent to a specialized prison, but Claire manages to save them.
Trying to understand why they are being hunted and stop it, the guy learns the story of the “Company”, which has been studying heroes for many years. In addition, he reconciles with his brother, and together they fly to Washington to catch Saylara, who planned the insidious plan. Having managed to deceive the maniac's vigilance, Peter neutralizes him.
