Russia is a country where they love the military genre, and this is understandable - we were attacked more than once and each time we won. So why not shoot about this war movie? Russia will certainly watch it all over the country. And the past 2013 was no exception. After all, our cinema is famous all over the world for its interesting works. Here and the world famous “They fought for their homeland,” and “Only old people go to battle,” where “old people” are 20-year-old guys. These films have been around for many years, but different generations of viewers continue to watch them. Of the latter, more modern, everyone fell in love with two parts of the Back to the Future film, where the main characters were in the past. This is a great war movie! Russia as a whole country watched it in cinemas.
"Death to Spies". Shock wave
2013 pleased us with good series. One of them is Death to Spies. The plot is tied to the fact that the Germans sent spies to the Soviet rear to steal very important documents. Of course, ours needs to be prevented. But the portfolio still disappears, and the fighters do not have much time left to return it. Only the heroic deeds of our children will save the motherland!
The film is very addictive, time for watching flies quickly, because military series are almost the favorite genre of Russians. Moreover, the atmosphere here is at a high level.
Alexander Pashutin, Alexei Serebryakov and Nikita Tyunin perfectly performed their roles.
"To kill Stalin"
We can not say about another great series in 2013 - "Kill Stalin." From the name you can guess what will be discussed. At the very beginning of World War II, there is a “correspondence confrontation” between two intelligence systems - the Soviet and German. The main goal of the Nazis is the death of Stalin. Personally, Adolf Hitler created this plan, because he was sure that the death of the leader would decapitate the USSR. But our fighters will prevent this!
Excellent acting in the film was done by Mikhail Porechenkov and Alexander Domogarov.
"Stalingrad"
If we take the past year, then he was first of all remembered by the work of Fyodor Bondarchuk "Stalingrad."
Japan. Nowadays. An EMERCOM team from Russia is conducting an operation to rescue several people who remained under the ruins of a building that collapsed as a result of an earthquake. In order to somehow distract the unfortunate, an elderly Russian rescuer tells the story of his life. And she is like that.
Stalingrad. 1942 year. The main plot line unfolds around the defense of a residential building, which stands in the way of German troops. In order to delay for some time the advancement of enemy forces, a reconnaissance group is sent to the house, where a surprise awaits them: people still live in the house. More precisely, one girl and her relatives and neighbors buried right there in the courtyard of the house. Further action of the film takes place in this small territory, limited to two or three houses and courtyards between them.
Against the backdrop of hostilities, we are observing the relationship that develops between the fighters and the only surviving girl Katya.
At the same time, we are shown an enemy camp, located not far from the house where our reconnaissance group was located. The brave colonel of the Wehrmacht, strewn with awards and who enjoys special honor from the high command of the German troops, acts as an antagonist to our scouts. His task is to destroy the house and clear the way for the infantry.
New technologies
But let us leave the plot aside and turn to what allows us to attribute this film not only to the category “War Cinema (Russia)”, but also to add it to the list “Military blockbusters”.
This refers to shooting in IMAX-3D format. We will not go into technical details, we can only say that it is much cooler than just 3D. We will name only a couple of films shot in this format - and you all litter. This is the leader of the 2011 global rental Avatar and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - the leader of the 2012 rental. Now you can judge the scale of the work done yourself.
Many are sure that this is exactly what war movies need to be shot. Russia in 2013 is already different than 30 or 40 years ago. Now, to convey to people the idea of love, the idea of patriotism, you need more than a good script or a good director.
