Ingredients Composition :

  • pumpkin weighing about 1.2 kg;
  • a glass of rice with a slide (about 250 g);
  • 750 ml of fresh milk;
  • about 150 g (third of a glass) of sugar;
  • salt - to taste (usually a third of a teaspoon without a slide is enough);
  • butter for serving - according to the number of servings.

Cooking technology

Peel the pumpkin with a peeler or knife. Cut the flesh into large pieces. Put in a cooking container. Pour in water, salt and bring to a boil. Cook the pumpkin for 20 minutes. Drain the water. Mash the finished vegetable with a crush or beat with a blender. Pour the indicated amount of rice, previously washed, into the pumpkin mixture. Preheat the oven. Pour warm milk into a refractory pan, add the cereal-vegetable mixture, put sugar. Put in the oven and simmer at a temperature of 175 degrees with the lid closed for about 1.5 hours. After the specified time, pumpkin porridge will be ready. The recipe is simple, but incredibly tasty. Season the finished dish with a spoon of butter and serve.

Pumpkin porridge, cooked in a slow cooker, resembles porridge from a real Russian oven to taste . Try to cook.

Composition :

  • 1 measuring cup (about 180 g) of millet;
  • 3 measuring cups of milk or plain water;
  • grated pumpkin (about 2 measuring cups);
