Plot
Jack Torrens is the protagonist of the movie Radiance. The actor who played this character is recognized as one of the greatest people in modern cinema. Jack worked as a school teacher for many years. Now he decided to change his occupation. Namely, to become a writer. In order to do literary work, in his opinion, you should get a job as a watchman, for example, in a country hotel. What Torrance does.
Now the former school teacher will spend time in a place remote from the city bustle, among picturesque landscapes. Jack learns from the hotel manager that working as a caretaker will not require much effort from him. It consists in monitoring the condition of the premises for the period from November to mid-May.
Staying at this hotel for several months is still not so simple. Jack learns about the terrible fate of his predecessor. A man could not cope with loneliness, he killed members of his family, and then he committed suicide. However, Jack is skeptical of the terrible tales of the former watchman.
The main character arrives at the hotel at the close of the season with his family, his son suffers from a mental disorder. Jack's family is going through difficult times. A month after his arrival, he becomes more nervous and aggressive.
