The future actress was born in Moscow. She, like her heroine, was not admitted to any theater university. But, unlike Nina, Muravyova did not give up. The following year, she made another attempt. She was not accepted this time, but was invited to the studio at the Children's Theater. Here she worked for many years, and only later graduated from GITIS in absentia.
Irina Muravyova made her film debut in 1965. Over the next ten years, she starred a lot. It became known only in the late seventies, after playing Lyudmila Sviridova in the film Menshov "Moscow does not believe in tears."
