In May 2009, Quentin Tarantino presented his next film at the Cannes Film Festival , which was subsequently highly praised by critics - Inglourious Basterds. The actors who starred in the action movie got pretty colorful: Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Michael Fassbender and many others. The main events of the project unfolded during the Second World War in France.
Plot plot
Hans Landa, who was nicknamed the “Jewish Hunter,” suddenly visits a French farmer’s home to find the Dreyfus Jewish family.
Soon, he discovers family members under the floor and orders the soldiers to shoot them. Eighteen-year-old Shoshanna manages to get out of hiding and escape from the killers.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Aldo Rein is recruiting a team of Jewish soldiers of American descent in order to carry out a terrorist mission in occupied French soil. The task of the new allies is the brutal extermination of the Nazis. Soon, the detachment becomes known in the Reich - Aldo and his associates are now called the “Bastards”, and Hitler himself is informed of their adventures. That was the beginning of the Inglourious Basterds project. Actors play the main action, from which it is no longer possible to distract from about the second third of the film.
Climax
The story goes through several years, and the viewer sees that Shoshanna, who managed to escape, is now impersonating a Frenchwoman named Emmanuel Mimieux. The heroine receives a small cinema as a legacy from a distant relative. The German sniper Frederic Zoller draws attention to the girl, who will soon shine in the film “Pride of the Nation”, portraying himself. The soldier arranges everything so that the premiere of the film, to which Hitler and his comrades-in-arms come, takes place at the Mimieu institution. Shoshanna decides that she will have the opportunity to avenge her family.
In parallel, the storyline of the Rhine is shown, which also finds out about the upcoming show and intends to use this event for its own purposes. Previously, the team will meet with the recruited artist Bridget von Hammersmark, who will be able to hold them for the premiere.
Role performers
One of the most striking roles in the action movie went to Brad Pitt - he portrayed the cynical Aldo Raine, nicknamed "Apache". In addition to him, Eli Roth also distinguished himself - his hero, sergeant Donnie Donovitz, also known as the "Jew Bear", terrifies the Nazis, and for good reason.
In turn, Gideon Burkhard was in the image of Corporal Wilhelm Wicca. A very memorable character was played by Til Schweiger - the German military psychopath Hugo Stieglitz.
Although, of course, it was Christoph Waltz who became the opening of the picture Inglourious Basterds. The actors who embodied the key roles in the action movie were already well known to the public, in contrast to the performer of the role of Hans Landa, who simply brilliantly coped with his task!

Initially, it was assumed that the timing of the new work of the cult director will be 190 minutes, but in the end it was cut down to 153 minutes.
