Hutsiev Marlen Martynovich - a native of Tbilisi, he was born on October 4, 1925. His father - a convinced communist - died during the years of repression, his mother was professionally engaged in acting. After school, the young man wanted to become a student at the Academy of Arts, but could not stand the competitive selection.
A year before the end of the war, he was taken to work as an assistant to the artist of combined filming at the capital's film studio.
Years of study at the theater university
After the war, the maestro decides to enter the VGIK for the director. The road from home to the Russian capital was not close, and when the young man crossed the threshold of a theater university, he was told that the enrollment was already over. However, the members of the examination committee were favorable to him and allowed, as an exception, to pass exams. Here is a gift made by fate to Marlene Hutsiev.
Labor activity
Years of study passed unnoticed, and after receiving a diploma, the newly-minted director was in the status of unemployed for about two years.
In 1953, fortune smiled at Khutsiev, and he was invited to work as a dubbing assistant at the Central Film Studio for Children and Youth Films, where the famous Jumble was shot.
