Mannik is a casserole made from ordinary semolina. There are many recipes for this dish: on milk, on kefir, on sour cream, with cottage cheese, with rice. The most famous of all is mannik on milk, the recipe of which we bring to your attention in this material. It can be considered as an alternative to semolina porridge and included in the menu of a small child. This dish is very suitable for the baby’s first birthday. Since the child is still small to eat cream creams or a real cake, manna is more suitable for him. There you can put up the first birthday candle in your life.

Do you know how not only useful, but also profitable is manna in milk? Its recipe implies a minimum of cheap products, in addition, such a manna is quite simple to manufacture. Necessary products: a glass of milk, a glass of semolina, half a glass of granulated sugar, half a glass of flour, 2 tablespoons of sour cream, 40 g of butter, 3 eggs, salt and vegetable oil.

First, you need to cook quite thick semolina from milk and semolina. We add salt, sugar and butter to the taste during cooking. When the porridge is ready, it should be cooled and put in a clean bowl. Then you need to separate the yolks from the egg whites. We put egg whites in a clean bowl in the refrigerator. Add the yolks immediately to the cooled semolina. Then here we add half a glass of flour and mix everything thoroughly.

After that, we take the egg whites from the refrigerator and quickly whip them into foam. Into this mass we introduce into the dough for manna and mix everything carefully. In a baking sheet we put tracing paper or parchment paper. We brush the paper with any vegetable oil and sprinkle with flour. Next, pour the manna dough into a baking dish.

Lubricate the dough on top with sour cream, then pierce with a fork in several places. We cook manna in a preheated oven at 200 degrees. Once the casserole is ready, it should be removed from the oven, covered with a towel and allowed to cool right in the form. Serve with jam or with condensed milk, tea or coffee with a mannica in milk, the recipe of which is given above. For older children, you can decorate the top with jam berries, colored marmalade, sprinkle with chopped nuts. In general, with a creative approach it should be very beautiful.

Recently, from a friend I learned how to cook manna in milk without cooking semolina. For its preparation, products are needed in the same amount. For one glass of sugar - a glass of flour, a glass of semolina, a glass of milk. It will also take 2 eggs, baking powder or soda, slaked with vinegar.

First, milk must be combined with semolina, sugar and eggs and leave the dough alone. After 20 minutes, add flour, slaked with vinegar soda (or two teaspoons of baking powder) to the resulting mixture. And then it's just a matter of technology. Pour the dough into a mold greased with vegetable oil, lay the mold in a hot oven, where in 40 minutes our manna in milk will be ready.

The recipe for this manna is not the only one, there are a lot of them. Which one is the classic mannick? Well, now a few words about how to make such a mannick. We take the following products: a glass of semolina, a glass of 15% sour cream, half a glass of sugar, one and a half glasses of flour, 3 eggs, salt, vegetable oil and 1/2 teaspoon of slaked soda (or a teaspoon of baking powder).

First we mix a glass of sour cream with a glass of semolina. We set for 35 minutes to insist. And at this time, beat the eggs with sugar and then mix the egg mass with sour cream and semolina. Again, mix everything thoroughly until smooth. After that, we introduce the flour and knead a not very thick dough - by consistency it should be like a dough for pancakes. Next, fill the dough into a form that must be pre-oiled. And put in a heated oven for 35–40 minutes, setting medium heat. Manna readiness is checked using any wooden stick. Eat on health!
