"Omaron": instructions for use, features of the drug

Nootropic agent with a pronounced vasodilating effect - this is the characteristic of the Omaron preparation. Instructions for use contain an indication that the drug belongs to antihypoxic combination drugs. What does such a vague and incomprehensible wording mean? Let's try to describe the medicine β€œOmaron” in a more understandable language. It is better to start the characterization of the drug with its pharmacological properties, since this approach makes it possible to understand the essence of the action of the active substance.

What is Omaron?

Instructions for use attached to the medicine include a description of the active substances on which its action is based. Each tablet contains 400 mg of piracetam, as well as 25 mg of cinnarizine. In addition, there are auxiliary components in the composition, however, they do not have pronounced pharmacological properties. Omaron medicine is available in white tablets. On the surface of the drug, marbling is allowed. Tablets are available in cardboard packs packed in blisters. Contour packs contain ten tablets, the number of blisters in a box can vary from 3 to 9 pieces.

Each of the active substances has a specific effect. Piracetam has a beneficial effect on metabolism, including protein. The effect is especially pronounced in the metabolic processes of the brain. Omaron tablets have the property of increasing the resistance of cells to hypoxia, and also contribute to the normalization of interneuronal transmission processes. In addition, piracetam acts on the bloodstream in the ischemic zone.

The second active substance is cinnarizine. It has the ability to enhance the intake of calcium in cells, reduce their susceptibility to vasoconstrictor factors, and also reduce the general tone of smooth muscles (which indirectly increases the lumen of blood vessels). In addition, cinnarizine dilutes blood. The general pharmacological property of the substance is manifested in an increase in the effect of piracetam, as well as in a slight vasodilating effect without much effect on blood pressure.

Thus, Omaron can be safely ranked as a complex of drugs that contribute to the normalization of processes in the brain, as well as stimulate the work of the cardiovascular system.
