However, not everyone knows how to cook beans in a slow cooker. It turns out that it’s very simple, but in a slow cooker, it’s also quite fast. However, if you have the time, then a simple slow cooker will do just fine.

Beans in a slow cooker are cooked in two modes - this is “Soup” or “Stew”. It is advisable to soak it first at night, so it will cook faster. You can cook up to 400 grams of dried beans at a time. This amount is enough for several days.

Cooking beans in a slow cooker should be in two stages:

Pour the soaked beans into the crock pot with the water in which it was soaked. If necessary, add liquid to the mark of one and a half liters. It is not necessary to salt, as this slows down the cooking.

Turn on the “Soup” or “Stew” mode for an hour and a half. However, it will become soft, but the beans will remain intact.

When it becomes soft, set aside part of the beans with the broth and cover the pan with a lid, leave it to cool. Then put in the refrigerator, there it can be stored for several days. It is very convenient to always have ready-made beans in the refrigerator, as they will not dry out and will not be too soft. It can subsequently be used to prepare other dishes.

If you cook it according to the following recipe, then you will get a very tasty original dish that absolutely everyone will like.

You will need:

150 grams of smoked bacon, 2 cups beans, 3 carrots, 3 potatoes, 3 onions, nutmeg, red pepper, salt.

Before you cook beans in a slow cooker, you should first soak it in cold water and put in a cool place overnight so that it does not ferment.

In the morning, cook the swollen beans in a slow cooker until half cooked in the “Stew” mode for about half an hour. Then you need to drain the water, and put the beans in a separate bowl.

Then you need to prepare vegetables, for this you need to finely chop the onion, rub the carrots, cut the potatoes into cubes.

When the crock-pot is freed from beans, first in the “Baking” mode, fry the onions, then put the prepared carrots. After a few minutes add slices of smoked bacon.

Fry for another three minutes in the same mode. Now you can put beans and potato cubes. Salt, pepper, season with nutmeg. Gently mix with a spatula.

Pour boiling water over all foods. Water should cover the vegetables a little. Turn on the "Extinguishing" mode for about an hour.

After cooking, the beans in the slow cooker should be left briefly in the "Heating" mode, and at this time, you can wash and chop the greens.

Serving this dish on the table is recommended after sprinkling with chopped herbs.
