Gallbladder disease is directly related to the type of food. It is known that in those countries where residents are constantly malnourished, these diseases are extremely rare. That is, the abuse of various foods, overeating is crucial for the formation in the gall bladder of sand and even stones.
Requirements for therapeutic nutrition depend on the period of the disease. But, nevertheless, they must be respected strictly. Since at the time of exacerbation, the diet for gallstone disease provides the inflamed organ with absolute peace. And in a quiet period, it helps to reduce the gallbladder and remove bile. Accordingly, proper nutrition in gallstone disease helps to ensure that the time of remission is as long as possible, and its violation provokes new acute attacks.
The main principle of catering in this case is compliance with the regime. Diet with gallstone disease should, first of all, be a fractional meal. You need to eat in small portions, but at least 4 times a day - this will help to ensure that bile does not linger in the body, but leaves on time. And, conversely, the rare intake of a large amount of food provokes a strong contraction of the gallbladder, accompanied by pain and other disorders.
When a person has gallstone disease, his diet must be saturated with proteins contained in low-fat types of fish and meat, cheese, milk, cottage cheese. If the body normally carries whole eggs (that is, after they do not appear abdominal pain, heaviness, bloating), you can use them, but not more than 3-5 pieces per week. If they do not carry well, it is better to cook omelets from them.
You can not use margarine, lard, offal in the diet, since all these products are rich in cholesterol. It is not necessary to completely exclude fats, they should be entered into the menu in the form of any vegetable oil, which, moreover, acts as a choleretic agent. Sometimes, however, there is poor tolerance and vegetable oil, manifested by dyspeptic disorders, increased pain. Of fats of animal origin, preference should be given to butter, introducing it into cereals, soups or spreading on bread. Cow butter is easier to digest and is better absorbed by the body.
The diet for cholelithiasis must necessarily contain a lot of vegetables, berries, fruits and juices made from them. It is known that these products accelerate the secretion of bile, prevent stones from forming, and eliminate constipation. Especially useful will be zucchini, carrots, pumpkin, cauliflower, watermelons, grapes, apples, strawberries, prunes. It is good to make salads from them, adding vegetable oil, of course, if it is well tolerated.
If the disease is accompanied by frequent diarrhea, it is better to rub fruits or berries or make juices out of them, giving preference to those fruits that are rich in tannins, which means they can stop the disorder - quince, bird cherry, blueberries, pomegranates.
You can not include garlic, radish, onions, radishes, turnips in the menu, as they contain essential oils, and sorrel with spinach, saturated with oxalic acid. Usually these products are poorly tolerated and can cause an exacerbation of the disease.
After an acute attack, the first two days can be limited to taking only warm liquid in small sips (rosehip broth, sweet tea, juices from sweet berries and fruits, diluted in half with water), with no more than two glasses. And after two days you can start eating mashed cereal soups, jelly. Then introduce cottage cheese, meat, fish. All food should be steamed and mashed. And only in 5-7 days it will be possible to return to a diet habitual for the patient.
All patients need to remember that the diet for cholelithiasis must be constant, it cannot be replaced with drugs, even the most modern and fashionable.
