In the old days they were loved and not only often cooked in simple peasant families, but they also regularly decorated the tables of the venerable nobility. Cakes were very different - fried or baked in a home oven, stuffed with all kinds of fillings and elegantly decorated with uncomplicated patterns. Today, even after several centuries, our love for home baking has not diminished. Each hostess knows perfectly how to cook a delicious and fragrant cake for her family. Chicken pie is perhaps one of the easiest options. He is fast in cooking, he is loved by both children and adults, and he always succeeds! There are a lot of variations of recipes for such a treat, and we will be happy to share some of them with you.
Chicken pie - the easiest recipe
This option can serve as an excellent basis for culinary creativity. The simplest ingredients will be required, they can be safely supplemented with various products, after which each time you will have a new and original chicken pie on the table. The recipe is simple and will come to the rescue even for those of you who are just starting to master the culinary diploma.
Ingredients:
- liquid sour cream, kefir or yogurt - 2 tbsp .;
- flour (depending on grade) - 4-5 st .;
- sunflower oil - 80 g;
- soda - 1 tsp;
- sugar - 1.5 tsp;
- a pinch of salt.
To prepare the filling, you can take any meat, but the chicken breast pie will be especially tender:
- chicken - ½ kg;
- mayonnaise - 3 tbsp. l .;
- onions - 2-3 heads;
- salt and spices.
Cooking process
Add all other ingredients to the flour and knead the dough. If you use thick sour cream, slightly dilute it with water so that the dough is not dense. Knead it thoroughly so that it is plastic, and then put it in the refrigerator for half an hour. It's time to cook the filling.
Chicken pie will be more juicy and tasty if the meat is fried, and not boiled. Cut the fresh fillet into small cubes and fry a little in vegetable oil, then add the chopped onion. As soon as the onion is browned, add mayonnaise, mix and remove the pan from the heat.
Turn on the oven 200 degrees beforehand. The dough ball must be divided in two. Roll out each piece to the right size for your baking sheet or baking dish. Place parchment paper at the bottom of the form , and a rolled sheet of dough on top, but so that its edges form a rim. Spread the cooled meat filling evenly and cover with a second sheet of dough. Pinch the edges of the cake and make a few punctures with a fork so that it does not swell during baking. It must be baked for about half an hour, a rosy fragrant crust should form on top. The pie is ready!
Puff pastry recipe with minced chicken and potatoes
You can cook a pie with minced chicken, if for some reason you did not find the fillet. We will cook it with potatoes and onions, but in this you can add cheese or any other ingredient that you like.
Ingredients:
- minced chicken - ½ kg;
- puff pastry (purchased or homemade) - ½ kg;
- medium potatoes - 3-4 pcs.;
- bulbs - 2-3 pcs.;
- egg for greasing the pie;
- pepper and salt.
Cooking process
Chicken pie will cook quickly, so turn on the oven in advance by 180 degrees.
Cut the peeled potatoes into thin plates or straws, onions - in half rings. Add to them minced chicken, spices and mix well.
Roll out 2 layers of dough of the right size. Cover the mold with parchment paper and sprinkle with water. Lay the first layer so that at the edges you get a side. Spread the filling evenly over the sheet and cover with the remaining puff pastry sheet. Pinch the edges carefully, and then grease the cake on top with the egg. Send to bake for 30-40 minutes in a preheated oven.
Chicken liver pie with rice
Such a pie with chicken liver can be prepared with various types of dough. But in this recipe we will tell you how to cook it on the basis of yeast. This dough is ideal for pies and pies with a variety of fillings, you just need to attach a little imagination.
Ingredients:
- milk - ½ tbsp .;
- sugar - 2 tbsp. l .;
- any vegetable oil - 3 tbsp. l .;
- flour - 2 tbsp .;
- baking yeast - 1 tbsp. l .;
- salt - 1 tsp.
To prepare the filling you will need:
- liver - 300 g;
- rice - 1 tbsp .;
- medium onions - 3 pcs.;
- vegetable oil, salt and pepper;
- mayonnaise - 2-3 tbsp. l
Cooking process
First you need to prepare the dough. In the warmed milk, add salt, sugar, butter and yeast, mix. When the yeast is completely dissolved - enter the flour and cook the dough. Cover with a napkin or towel and let it brew, but for now, let's start preparing the filling.
Boil rice and rinse. Onions and liver need to be finely chopped and fried in vegetable oil. When the mince is almost ready, salt, add your favorite spices and mayonnaise. Then mix the minced meat with rice and cool.
Divide the dough in half. Roll out each piece to form a baking sheet or baking dish. The baking sheet itself must be greased with oil and lightly sprinkled with semolina. Lay the first layer of dough, on top - the prepared filling in an even layer. Cover with the remaining layer and pinch the edges. Make a few punctures with a fork throughout the pie and let stand for 20 minutes. As soon as the dough rises a little - send it to bake for 20-30 minutes in an oven heated to 180 degrees. When it is ready - remove from the oven, grease with butter and cover with a napkin. Within half an hour, your chicken pie can be served.
