Contraindications
According to the instructions, the presented remedy is not recommended if you have:

- sensitivity to a component such as nitrofurantoin;
- hepatitis;
- chronic heart failure;
- cirrhosis of the liver;
- renal failure (chronic);
- porphyria (acute).
Also, "Furadonin" (the indications were described above) is undesirable to take during breastfeeding, during pregnancy and in infancy up to 1 month.
Side effects
During the administration of this drug, the patient may experience the following side effects:
- allergic reactions, namely rash, arthralgia, eosinophilia, lupus-like syndrome, myalgia, anaphylaxis or angioedema;
- vomiting, headaches, dizziness;
- pseudomembranous enterocolitis, dyspnea, nystagmus;
- broncho-obstructive, cholestatic syndrome, nausea;
- fever, drowsiness, chest pain, cough;
- pancreatitis, hepatitis, changes in the lung tissue (interstitial);
- asthenia, peripheral neuropathy.
How to take Furadonin?
This medication should be taken only orally. The Furadonin tablet should be washed down with a glass of drinking water. A single dose of this drug is from 0.11 to 0.15 g (four times a day). The daily dosage of Furadonin should not exceed 0.6 g. The course of treatment with this drug is 1 week. If longer therapy is required, then you should definitely consult a doctor.
