Gourmet baking - a cure for sadness

In our fast and difficult time, many people want to relieve stress and stress with the help of delicious food. Indeed, much can upset us today: at work and in transport, in the family and on the street, we constantly encounter problems. And only one meal never grieves us, but brings pleasure. That is why gourmet pastries are so popular, which, despite the extra calories, sweetens our eyes and pampers us.

People’s need for goodies and excess can be met with a tool such as gourmet baking. Luxurious cakes, elegant rolls, fragrant cakes - all this is created not in order to satisfy hunger, but in order to bring joy and pleasure.

Gourmet Baking - French Madeleine Cookies Recipe

This cookie is very light and beautiful, it is ideal for drinking tea with a friend.

Prepare the following products: eggs (3 pcs.), Sugar (a little less than half a glass - about 110 g), flour (150 g), butter (130 g), lemon, a bag of vanilla sugar or vanillin, baking powder (5 g). Beat the eggs with a mixer. Add sugar while continuing to beat the mass. Put vanilla sugar. Add flour (preferably sieved) to the mass along with baking powder. Rub the zest of the lemon on a grater and put in the dough. Mix everything carefully. Melted and chilled butter gradually add to the dough.

The dough should be refrigerated for 2 hours.

Forms for cookies fill in 2/3 dough. If you do not have molds, then you can put the products in the form of small muffins on pastry paper.

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees and bake the "Madeleines" for about 4 minutes. Then reduce the heat to 180 degrees and continue to bake for another 4 minutes. Gourmet pastries are ready. Products must be sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Danish pastries

In just half an hour, you can prepare a delicious dish on a puff-yeast basis, which can be safely classified as “gourmet pastries”.

In Denmark, sweet products with fruits and spices or a snack option with herbs and cheese are baked from puff and yeast dough. Danish pastries are usually shaped like envelopes, wheels or triangles.

Prepare 225 grams of flour, 150 grams of butter, 25 grams of margarine, 25 grams of fine sugar, 7 grams of yeast (quick-acting), one egg, a pinch of salt.

Grind flour with margarine. Add yeast and salt. Mix the egg, water (4 tablespoons) and sugar. Introduced into the flour mixture. Knead the dough, making sure that it is elastic. Cover the dough and let it go for about 15 minutes. Roll out the dough in the form of a square (with a side size of 30 cm). Butter is put in a plastic bag and rolled out with a rolling pin in the form of a square (thickness of about 1 cm and 12 cm length of the sides). The butter is placed in the center of the dough and the two opposite sides are folded so that they completely cover the butter. Turn the dough and fold the two remaining sides. Roll out a rolling pin into a rectangle so that the proportions of its sides are 3: 1. Bake in a hot oven until golden brown for about 30 minutes.

Vegetarian pastries

If the composition of the baking products do not include eggs and meat, then vegetarians may well enjoy mouth-watering confectionery. Here is a recipe for homemade roll.

Prepare the products: 1.5 cups of flour, 1 can of condensed milk, 100 g of jam or jam (you can have another sweet filling), a glass of kefir or yogurt, 1 teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon of soda, 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Turn on the oven. Combine flour, kefir, condensed milk, salt and soda. The dough will turn out liquidish.

Sprinkle a baking sheet with semolina. Pour the dough onto a baking sheet and smooth it with a knife. Bake for about 12 minutes (until golden brown). Wait for the cake to cool and carefully trim the edges. Put jam on the cake and roll the roll. With a sharp knife, cut portioned slices and sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
