"Peroni" is an Italian brewing company and the name of the beer of the same name . The brewery was opened in 1846 in the city of Vigevano by brewer Francesco Peroni, and then moved to Rome. At the beginning of the XX century, the Peroni brewery gained worldwide fame, and the Peroni beer became a favorite foamy drink in Italy. Currently, the brewery is located in Padua, owned by the British brewing company SABMiller.

In 2003, the company was bought by the British brewery SABMiller, and in 2016 some brands were bought by the Asahi brewery.
