  • 1.3 tsp baking soda;
  • 2.5 tsp baking powder for the dough;
  • 2-3 tsp food coloring red.

Beat eggs with sugar until thickened, dissolve soda in kefir. Combine the butter with the fermented milk base and add the dye. If the color doesn’t seem bright enough to you, add a dye to make the shade look as water-melon as possible. The cake will be even more beautiful.

It's time to tackle the bulk ingredients. Sift the flour, add sugar, salt, cocoa, baking powder. Gradually introduce the mixture into the egg mass, beat thoroughly. At the end add tinted kefir. The dough is ready. If you plan to bake it in the usual round form, cover the bottom with baking paper, and a little grease the edges.
