How to take "Utrozhestan" candles

The drug "Utrozhestan" is available in capsules, but its feature is that they are used not only inside, but also as vaginal suppositories. This distinguishes the indicated agent from progesterone very favorably, since it is only in the form of a solution for injections, and few people like injections, and besides, they are quite painful.

After the introduction of Utrozhestan into the vagina, the suppositories dissolve rather slowly, therefore the maximum amount of the active substance progesterone in the blood reaches only 2-6 hours after the administration of the drug. If this drug is administered twice a day, then its effect is provided throughout the day. After the administration of the drug “Utrozhestan” of the suppository in the uterus, progesterone accumulates rapidly, and therefore the work of the inner lining of the uterus is quickly restored, and there is a transition from the stage of increasing it in volume to the stage of secretion secretion. After a woman becomes pregnant, it is thanks to progesterone that the optimal state of the inner lining of the uterus is maintained for the embryo.

The introduction of these suppositories allows you to reduce the contractility of the uterus, which does not allow interruption of pregnancy.
