Films about MARVEL comic book heroes have been very popular lately. Viewers noticed that there are tapes about superheroes that are interconnected. These are MARVEL Studios products that create the Avengers universe. You will find all parts in order (list) in this article.
The MARVEL cinematic universe does not include films shot by comics by other studios (stories about Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, X-Men). The release of films is divided into three phases. The first and second, 6 films each, are completed. The Avengers universe also includes short films and series.
"Iron Man"
The first film of the Iron Man series (2008) introduces us to one of the characters in the Marvel universe - Tony Stark. This ingenious inventor and industrialist, being in captivity, developed a high-tech exoskeleton, powered by a powerful source of energy. Thanks to the new development, he becomes a superhero.
In the movie “Iron Man” (2008), the viewer first meets Nick Fury from the Sch.I.T. organization, who offers Stark to create a team of superheroes - “Avengers”. Please note that in each film after the credits there is a small scene clarifying the connection between the parts of the crossover.
"The incredible Hulk"
The movie The Incredible Hulk (2008) shows a new story of Bruce Banner becoming a Hulk. A scientist is exposed in an experiment to create super-soldiers. In anger, Banner turns into a huge green man named Hulk. He hides from the military, who want to use it, defeats the abomination pursuing the enemy (an irradiated soldier) and finally learns to control his strength and the process of becoming a Hulk.
The Incredible Hulk (2008) is not a sequel to the 2003 Hulk. The purpose of the new tape is not only to tell the story of Bennet, but also to demonstrate that he lives in the same world as Iron Man, their connection. At the end of the film, it is indicated that the Hulk will also become a member of the Avengers team.
"Iron Man 2"
This is a continuation of the story of Tony Stark. In this film, the inventor improves his costume, receives an “inheritance” from his father in the form of a hint for creating a new chemical element and successfully synthesizes it, as well as defeats the evil Russian physicist, saves Manhattan and his beloved.
In the film “Iron Man 2” (2010), we get acquainted in more detail with the organization of Sch.I.T. and its head, Nick Fury, assistant Stark the Warrior and Natasha Romanoff, known as the Black Widow. At the end of the film, agents of the organization Sch.I.T. during the excavation they find the hammer of Thor, which connects this film with the next part of the crossover.
Thor
In the film “Thor” (2011), we meet the proud and rather arrogant God of Thunder, whom Father Odin, for disobedience, expelled to Earth from another world - Asgard, depriving him of his strength and weapons - the hammer of Mjolnir. In exile, Thor finds his love, regains strength and Mjolnir, and saves the Earth.
The film “Thor” (2011) introduces us to the space part of the crossover, the characters of Thor and Loki. An attentive viewer will see Hawkeye. In the end, Nick Fury receives a mysterious source of energy.
"The first Avenger"
The movie "First Avenger" (2011) introduces us to another character. There is a Second World War. Steve Rogers, the main character, wants to get to the front, but he will not be taken into the army because of pain and weakness. The young man agrees to participate in the experiment to create a super-soldier and becomes the only successful prototype, gaining tremendous physical strength. Captain America stops the terrorists who took possession of the mysterious source of energy in the form of a cube, and falls into a coma for 70 years to wake up in our time.
In this film, we learn about Tessarakt, the HYDRA organization, Captain America and Bakka, and we see the origin of the Sch.I.T. (Strategic Science Reserve) and meet Tony Stark's father , Howard.
The Avengers
In the film “The Avengers” (2012), the organization Sch.I.T. under the leadership of Nick Fury brings together a team of heroes: Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Captain America. Together, superheroes stop Loki, who is trying to destroy the Earth with the help of Tessarakt (that same mysterious source of energy). This completes the “Avengers” (all parts in order, list), or rather the first phase of the cinema universe.
"Iron Man 3"
“Iron Man 3” (2013) - the continuation of the story of the favorite audience of Tony Stark. In this film, Iron Man and his friend Warrior fight the terrorist Mandarin. This film was worst received by fans. In the end, after the credits, it turns out that Stark retold all the events to Bruce Banner during a psychotherapy session, but the doctor fell asleep.
Thor 2: The Kingdom of Darkness
What does the Avengers movie universe prepare for us next? The second film about the God of Thunder “Thor 2: The Kingdom of Darkness” (2013) continues all the parts in order, the list of which we are compiling. Anomalies begin to occur on Earth, objects disappear and end up in other places. Thor's girlfriend - Jane Foster - falls into one of the anomalies, and Ether penetrates into it. Thor, who was watching the woman, finds out about her disappearance, finds and moves to Asgard.
The power of Aether awakens Malekith, whose army attacks Asgard. Loki helps Thor and Jane enter the Dark World to extract Ether from the girl’s body, but dies, saving her brother. Further, the heroes stop the rapprochement of the worlds and save the Earth. The ether is deposited with the Collector. It turns out that Loki is alive and has taken the form of Odin. Thor returns to Earth.
"Captain America: The Winter Soldier"
The film "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" (2014) is one of the best in this series. Captain America, having slept for more than 60 years, is starting to get used to the modern world. But the HYDRA organization is on the alert, and soon it has to save the world again in the company of the Black Widow and Falcon.
Captain America encounters the Winter Soldier, who turns out to be his friend Bucky Barnes. At the end of the film, they show that HYDRA has taken possession of Loki's scepter and is studying it, as well as exploring two new characters - Mercury and his sister Scarlet Witch.
Guardians of the Galaxy
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) was one of the fans' favorite crossover films, and certainly the funniest and most driving. A couple of Groot and Raccoon captivated the audience, and the phrase "I am Groot" became literally a symbol of the film and spawned a meme on the Internet.
The picture shows a motley company consisting of earthling and thief Peter Quill, the killer of Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, the Intelligent raccoon named Rocket and the woody humanoid Groot. Guardians of the Galaxy fight for the mysterious Sphere, which is also the Infinity Stone (along with Ether and Tesseract).
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Fans eagerly awaited the film Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). At the box office, he raised more than $ 1.4 billion, which allowed this part of The Avengers to enter the top ten highest-grossing films in history.
The heroes try to take possession of the scepter of Loki, which is located at the HYDRA organization, but meet the resistance of Mercury and the Scarlet Witch. They become serious opponents, because the girl, thanks to her abilities, instills in the Avengers their greatest fears - an attack on Earth, the fall of Asgard, the loss of control over abilities and the like. Ultron, which was created by Stark to protect humanity, stands on their side.
The two new avengers that appear in the film, Mercury and the Scarlet Witch, according to the comics, are Magneto children from the X-Men universe. But due to the fact that this series is not included in the cinema universe, their origin is changed.
"Ant Man"
The film Ant-Man (2015) introduces a new character and becomes the last of the second phase. The protagonist, Scott Lang, is an engineer and a thief. He gets out of prison and goes on a new business. In one of the houses, his accomplice found a large safe, but inside Scott finds not money and gold, but a strange suit, and it turns out that he is able to reduce a person to microscopic sizes.
Lang becomes the new Ant-Man under the direction of his predecessor. This concludes the second phase of the film universe (The Avengers, all parts in order). The list of films will replenish in 2016, with the start of the third phase. In total, within the framework of this project, 12 full-length films were released - 5 short films and 8 series.
