Did Malinin always want to be a singer?
From childhood, Alexander Malinin wanted to become an artist. For a long time he practiced in different groups - dance, spirit, choir. Then he entered the military band, where he played the horn. Due to his passion for music, Alexander Nikolayevich received his education in evening school.
Later he entered the pop studio at the Sverdlovsk Philharmonic. Then he became a soloist in the choir of the Ural Military District. He went to study at a school in Moscow, already being a ready-made vocalist, receiving a professional diploma opened Malinin the way to the big stage. He performed with the Blue Guitars, and then with a group of Stas Namin. Work with these creative teams allowed him to go on tour in America.
Why exactly romances?
According to Malinin himself, the romances opened the way for him to the stage as a solo artist. He won with lyric songs in the contest "Jurmala-88", and then included the songs he liked to the public in his repertoire. They were always close to him in spirit, like playing the classical six-string guitar. He believes that for the performance of such compositions, the voice is of secondary importance, and most importantly - immersed in the melody of the soul and heart.
Perhaps no one performs lyric compositions better than Malinin. The songs and romances that he sings are eternal hits and will always be in demand. However, the singer himself sometimes wants to experiment. He is close in spirit to such areas of music as pop and rock, but the audience is cold about such songs, preferring to listen to the good old “Burn, Burn My Star” and “Lieutenant Golitsyn”. That is why Malinin’s repertoire is most often supplemented by romances.
