Julia Bell studied painting at 6 colleges and universities. She, apparently, was looking for something. A young woman married writer Donald Palumbo. His books, sexual and erotic, intrigued her. Two sons were born in the marriage, Anthony and David, who later became artists. But once and for all, Julia's life changed when she met in 1989 the artist from Peru, Boris Vallejo.
Julia Bell first became his model, then a student, and after a divorce in 1994, his wife. She became a model not by accident. She had a cast, inflated body of a woman who is engaged in bodybuilding. This is just what is required in order to become a model, not for a gentle fairy or nymph, but for a decisive Amazon. In the early 90s, the artist has an explosion of imagination, and she draws covers for video games. Images of their heroes are sold at an incredible speed. First, there were fictional characters from Marvel, who acted in the reality that was known as the Marvel Universe.
Julia first wrote the barbarian Conan for the comic strip (then in games he was noticeably transformed). In this universe, places reflect real cities such as New York. Her video games show a semi-barbaric world in the "wild land" (for example, "The Legend of the Golden Ax"). In this game, the forces of darkness steal the golden ax, the king and his daughter. The task is reduced to their release.

The characters, saving themselves, show the heroism that is lacking on weekdays. And all this happens in amazingly beautiful interiors.
Duet of two artists
Since some time, Boris Vallejo and Julia Bell have ceased to be divided as authors. Together they made advertising pictures for such elite companies as Coca-Cola, Nike, Toyota. Julia Bell paints pictures with startling technical realism. At the same time, talent and great art are still present. She has a beautiful warrior girl, a space cowboy tames a metal monster. Everything happens against the backdrop of deserted red-hot cliffs and a sultry blue cloudless sky covered with sand haze. Julia Bell's extremely realistic style brings the viewer a powerful erotic sensual message. It is emphasized by a very strong color, built on a combination of contrasts: black, scarlet, gold, pink, turquoise. Pastel shades are rarely used. All drawings are made from photographs.
