The artist, now a clergyman, was born in 1956, November 8. His father, still alive 90-year-old actor Yuri Kayurov, became famous for playing the role of Lenin 18 times. He is not only the holder of the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR, but also twice winner of the State Prize.
At the time of his birth, Leonid played in the theater of the city of Saratov, where his son was born. But then he was invited to Moscow, where the family moved when his son was 12. The actorโs mom is a dentist. In 2005, she was gone.
Leonid Yuryevich Kayurov entered VGIK, thanks to the patronage of his father. He was friendly with B. Babochkin, gaining a course. Twenty-year-old youth director Vladimir Rogov was invited to the role of leader of a teenage gang named Gogol. Young criminals cynically robbed children and drunken passers-by, and in revenge to the teacher for her principled position regarding the hero Kayurov, they ruined the school greenhouse.

Peak acting career
The 80s can be called stellar in his fate. Firstly, Oleg Efremov is invited to the Moscow Art Theater Kayurov Leonid. The actor rehearses the role of Vladimir Ulyanov ("The Way") and participates in such performances as "Days of the Turbins", "Ivanov", "Summer Residents".
Secondly, the demand for cinema makes it extremely popular and recognizable. He appears in the series about connoisseurs, plays a serious role in The Little Tragedies, and shines again in the E. Gavrilov film My Anfisa. In a duet with Marina Levtova, the actor convincingly shows the problems of relations between young people standing on different steps of the social ladder. His role in the movie "Vacancy" based on the play by A. The actor himself claims that the revolution in his mind occurred after reading the book "The Meaning of History" by N. Berdyaev. At 26, he decided to be baptized. In 1989 he entered the theological seminary.
Since 1981, he was married to Irina Korytnikova, an actress who was the first to depart from social life and began to sing in the church choir. At the end of the seminary, Kayurov Leonid became the deacon of one of the temples.
