Youth Theater
Among the young theaters, one of the most striking is the youth. He is only 31 years old. Youth Theater (Minsk) was founded in 1985. His main director was Grigory Borovik. His first performance was staged according to the novel "The War Does Not Have a Female Face", it was called "These Incomprehensible Old People."
In the early years of its existence, the theater wandered around different venues. The building was allocated to artists in 1987. Previously, he occupied the cinema "Spartak". Before the theater could rehearse and perform in its building, it was subjected to lengthy overhaul. The troupe, however, did not stop its work. Waiting for their stage to be ready, the artists went on tour and participated in festivals.
Since 2003, Modest Abramov became the artistic director of the Youth. He introduced into the repertoire more productions of world classics, since it is classical works that allow actors to best demonstrate their dramatic capabilities.
Since 2013, a ballet group appeared in the theater. She works in the genre of modern choreography. In 2014, the Youth Theater moved to a new building.

Puppet Theatre
Minsk children's theaters are very popular with young spectators. They are kind, instructive, interesting tales. The kids' favorite is the puppet theater. It has been around for almost 80 years. He began his career in the city of Gomel. It was a troupe assembled from amateur actors. In 1950, the artists moved to the city of Minsk and soon moved to a professional level. In those years, the repertoire included only children's performances. The role model for Belarusian puppeteers has always been the famous GAZTK led by Sergei Obraztsov. Muscovites helped their Minsk colleagues by sending them plays, sketches of decorations and dolls. In the early years of its existence, the Minsk puppeteers largely copied specimens. But over time, they began to strive to acquire their own face and their own unique style.
In the 70s, actors began to often go out from behind a screen onto the stage with dolls. Gradually, the repertoire included works by such authors as U. Shakespeare, Y. Kupala, M. Bulgakov, V. Mayakovsky, A. Chekhov, K. Gozzi and others.
Today the Minsk Puppet Theater is famous and loved not only in Belarus, but also in many other countries.
