One appearance of watermelons immediately causes salivation - its red juicy flesh and asks in the mouth. But not only is fresh berry used, it produces amazing sweet desserts, preserves, fruit drinks, jam, salads, pickles - the whole list of dishes can be easily prepared at home without even being a great chef. Marinated watermelons turn out to be very tasty , today we will describe simple and quick recipes.
They are harvested at the end of summer and wrapped in jars in order to enjoy the sweet and sour taste of fruits in winter. As a brine, you can use sugar syrup, water or preserve them in your own juice - the twists are perfect for any side dish and as an independent dish. Also, pickled watermelons are prepared with the addition of marinade like the one we make for cucumbers. The taste in the dish is very pleasant and piquant.
The cooking process is quite easy and practically does not differ from the method of harvesting other fruits and vegetables. Before making pickled watermelons, it is necessary to purchase mid-ripened fruits so that the berry under the marinade does not turn into porridge. Let's move on to the recipe.
Components on a 3-liter container can be made on a smaller amount:
- unripe thin-legged watermelon;
- litere of water;
- cardamom (three grains);
- Lavrushka (3 leaves);
- peppercorns (5-10 pcs.);
- garlic (5 cloves);
- vinegar (10 gr. - tablespoon);
- 10 grams of granulated sugar and salt.
We wash the berry with water, cut off both stalks and inflorescences. Leave the peel. Cut into small squares so that they fit in the jar - do not remove the seeds.
Put lavrushka, pepper, cardamom and garlic in previously sterilized containers. Lay the watermelon slices in tight rows on top of the spices.
Pour boiling water into the center of the can. We cover with a lid, which also needs to be sterilized. Cover the container with a towel and let the juice brew for about 10 minutes.
After a certain time, drain the brine, add sugar and salt to it - boil for 5-7 minutes. Next, pour the vinegar. Pour the finished marinade over the berry and twist. Spice marinated watermelons
Product Composition:
- one watermelon:
- cinnamon (on the tip of a knife);
- sugar and salt of 10 grams;
- Lavrushka (3 leaves);
- vinegar (20 gr.);
- red pepper - a pinch.
Sliced ββwatermelon is placed in sterilized jars - do not peel and peel them. Put all the spices in the container and pour boiling water over it. Cover and leave to marinate for two days. After a few days, you can serve the pickled watermelon on the table. The recipe is not complicated at all and does not require much time and effort.
Winter preparations can be made not only from pulp, but also from watermelon peels. This will require about three cups of crust, sugar to taste, mustard - a dessert spoon. In addition, apple cider vinegar (10 g), ground ginger (5 g), turmeric (teaspoon) and a little salt are taken.
