Each hostess has in stock several time-tested recipes with which you can deliciously pamper your loved ones and surprise guests. These dishes require, as a rule, high culinary skills and a decent consumption of products. However, few people know how many delicious and healthy dishes can be prepared from an ordinary pork shank, and besides, such dishes are quite economical.

Appetizing pork knuckle

The recipe for this dish has its own peculiarities, however, having done everything right, you can get a very tasty dish that will become a crown in your family. To prepare a delicious pork shank we need: 1 pork shank, 1 onion, 1 celery root, 1-2 parsley root, 2 carrots, black peppercorns, bay leaves, garlic, dill, salt. Initially, the pork knuckle should be boiled for about an hour in a large amount of water, after an hour, add onion, carrots, roots, salt to the pan and cook for about two hours. 15 minutes before cooking, add peppercorns and bay leaves. Remove the knuckle from the broth, allow it to cool slightly, and stuff it with slices of garlic. Then coat it with sour cream, mayonnaise or honey and bake on the grill or in the oven, 15 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees. Sprinkle with herbs, garnish with lemon slices and serve.

Knuckle "Honey in the marinade"

To make a delicious pork knuckle, the recipe can be varied as you like, because everyone has different tastes. Fans of spicy can add more pepper or take a mixture of different varieties. First you need to rinse the shank well, put in a pan and bring to a boil. Then add carrots, onions, cloves, bay leaves, allspice, garlic, salt well and cook the dish for an hour over low heat. Remove the shank from the pan and cool slightly. During this time, you can make a marinade: mix mustard, soy sauce, honey, black and red pepper, garlic. Make preliminary cuts on the shank and coat with marinade, put in a deep saucepan, pour the remaining marinade overnight and put in the refrigerator. To get a delicious pork shank, the recipe can be slightly adjusted to your taste. In the morning, put the shank in a deep pan, add two glasses of beer, cover with foil and simmer for about an hour in high heat. Then remove the foil and bring to readiness under the grill until a golden crust forms.

To prepare the shank we will need: 1 pork shank, 2 liters of dark beer, 1 head of onion, 1-2 carrots, 1 celery root, 1 head of garlic, salt, black pepper, bay leaf, caraway seeds, cloves. For garnish: 1 kg of sauerkraut, 1 head of onion, a little caraway seeds, coriander, 1 cup of broth, vegetable oil. For the sauce: honey, mustard in grains.

Skinning the shank is not worth it - it can be scorched, scraped with a knife or simply shaved. To cook, you need to look for a large pot, since there will be a knuckle in beer, the recipe for this dish came to us from distant Bavaria, and so it took root among Russian culinary specialists. A foamy drink should completely cover the shank, but it should not be too much. We put the pan over high heat and cook vegetables, cut the carrots into large rings, take the whole onion and stick a few cloves into it, divide the garlic into cloves. As soon as the beer boils, reduce the gas, add a vegetable bouquet with spices to it and continue to simmer for two hours.

In a baking sheet, spread the pre-cooked stewed cabbage, coat the shank with honey-mustard sauce (it can be made from honey, crushed mustard seeds and a few tablespoons of broth). We put a baking sheet with a shank in the oven for half an hour, while not forgetting to periodically pour it with sauce. So, we have a delicious pork knuckle, the recipe of which will certainly be asked by all your relatives and friends.

To feed guests deliciously, it is not necessary to spend a mountain of products and spend a day in the kitchen. Pork knuckle can be an excellent crown dish for any company, if you show a little imagination and patience.
