“Resident Mistake” is one of the most famous spy films in the USSR in which wonderful actors starred. “Resident's mistake” was released in the 68th year and laid the foundation for a whole tetralogy of films about the legendary scout Mikhail Tuliev.

In the film Resident Mistake, a Russian KGB officer named Pavel Sinitsyn confronts an insidious Western spy. This character was played by actor Mikhali Nozhkin.
Pavel Sinitsyn, on behalf of the leadership, is being introduced into the secret group of Mikhail Tulev. The western resident is sure that Sinitsyn is a thief by the name of Matveyev. He fully trusts the “mishandled Cossack,” so the KGB officer manages to falsify the information that Tulev sends abroad. So for 142 minutes actors play complex espionage games. “Resident's mistake” ends with Tulev being arrested quietly and not noticeably, and Sinitsyn continues to send false information to the West on his behalf.
Mikhail Nozhkin, you can say, began his film career with this film. Before filming in “Resident Mistake”, he managed to participate only in the film “Two Hours Before” by Vitaly Koltsov. Subsequently, the actor starred in two films about the resident Tuliev, as well as in such famous films as “Walking through the agony”, “At the beginning of glorious deeds” and “Youth of Peter”.
Oleg Zhakov as Jan Dembovich
In the film “Resident Error”, actors Oleg Zhakov and George Zhzhenov played accomplices. A certain Yan Dembovich, who lives in the USSR, is in fact a "conserved" agent of Hitler's intelligence. Despite the fact that the Reich has long ceased to exist, Jan continues to work for Western intelligence agencies. They send Mikhail Tulev to him, so that Jan helps him with the recruitment of new people.
Oleg Zhakov after this film received the title of
People's Artist of the USSR. And he received it deservedly, since by the end of the 60s in his filmography there were almost 80 film works. Zhakov began acting in 1926. We can say that he stood at the origins of Soviet cinema. True, the main roles went to Jacob infrequently.
