Probably everyone who watched The Game of Thrones remembers the so-called Knight of Flowers, who liked Sansa Stark in the first season. His real name is Lores Tyrell (actor: Fin Jones). The Flower Knight is the youngest son of Mace Tyrell, the brother of Willas and Garlan Tyrell, as well as the brother of the young queen Margery Tyrell. He has a personal coat of arms, which depicts golden roses in the amount of three pieces on a green field.
The appearance and character of the hero
As Sansa noted, Tyrell Lores was an incredibly handsome and gallant young man. He looked like his sister. The eyes were brown and “cast in gold” (in the book's description), and the hair was distinguished by a beautiful chestnut color with a reddish tint. Tyrion himself once noted that Lores had already become a legend in his young years, and half of the girls in the kingdom dream of sleeping with him, and the boys want to be like him.
Ser Lores Tyrell in Game of Thrones (Season 1)
In the first season of Game of Thrones, Ser Tyrell Lores took part in the right hand tournament. It was he who then gave Sansa Stark a red rose. In one of the fights, Ser Lores defeated Grigor Kligan, knocking him out of the saddle. After that, Grigor disarmed the Knight of Flowers and would have killed him if not for the intervention of Sandor Cleagan. In gratitude, Lores gave his reward to his savior.
When Grigor Cleagan was found guilty of assaulting Tally's possessions, Ser Lores volunteered to administer justice, but his right hand refused. After the death of King Lores, together with Renly left the capital.
Battle of the Kings (Season 2)
As you know, this season Renly Baratheon, despite having an older brother, proclaimed himself king of Westeros. But his plans were not destined to come true: the shadow generated by Melisandra killed Renly in his own tent in front of Lady Stark and Brienne. Loras, seeing the dead king, blamed Brienne, who had to flee with Lady Stark, for the murder.
Further development of the plot
Further, the storyline of the book begins to differ from the action of the film. Lores Tyrell is admitted to the royal guard. At court, the Flower Knight tries to be closer to Margaery and King Tomman, which is why Cersei Lannister begins to plot and intrigue against the young queen.
According to Cersei's book, Lannister sends Tyrell Lorez to the siege of the Dragon Stone, which at that time was commanded by Stannis Baratheon. The capture of the castle should be bloodless: Redwin decided to dig a tunnel under the walls of the castle and take it. But Tyrell Lores decided the matter by a duel, during which more than a thousand people died. Moreover, Lores himself is seriously injured. During the Battle of Dragonstone, his sister is taken into custody in prison, where she is awaiting a court decision for treason.
In the film, not only Margaery is arrested, but also Lores himself. He is accused of having a love affair with Renly Baratheon and Oliver, which contradicts the laws of people and gods. His Sparrow conducts a survey of Lorez in the presence of the king and queen, Lady Olenna and Cersei. Lores refuses all charges, and Margaery confirms his words. After that, Oliver is brought into the room, who talks about an intimate relationship with Lores Tyrell. As evidence, Oliver cites the fact that Lores has a wine-colored mole on his hip. As a result, the flower knight and Queen Margery are arrested for perjury.
The death of Sir Lorez
After numerous requests Margery is allowed to visit Lorez. And the viewer no longer sees that cheerful young man who participated in the right hand tournament. Tyrell Lores is broken and ready for almost anything to end his suffering.
As a result, Lores confesses to all his sins and enters the Holy Army. When Cersei and Tomman do not appear at the main court, Margery realizes that they are in some kind of trap, and tries to bring his brother out into the street. However, they are not allowed to watch. During the explosion in the Great Septa, both Margery and Tyrell Lores die.
