The artist Arkady Aleksandrovich Rylov painted beautiful landscape paintings. Admiring them, once again affirm the opinion of how he loved the nature of his native land. Rylov's painting Field Rowan also proves this. Like many canvases created by the artist, a warm summer day is depicted here.
Creator Biography
Arkady Aleksandrovich Rylov was born on January 17, 1870 in the village of Istobensk, which was located in the Oryol district of the Vyatka province. In 1888, Arkady entered the Central School of Technical Drawing in St. Petersburg, which he graduated in 1891. In 1893 he became a student at the Imperial Academy of Arts in the same city. But the creative taste of the young man began to develop much earlier.
His family lived in a picturesque place - on the banks of the Vyatka River. The boy could not help but admire the amazing landscapes - river expanses, the beauty of forests, fields. Rylov's painting Field Rowan, which he painted as an adult in 1922, could have arisen due to childhood impressions.
After all, Arkady wandered along the river for several hours, in the meadows, and sat for a long time on the lake. He absorbed the beauty of these places, so that in a few years he would so successfully transfer his impressions to the canvas.
A large role in shaping the artistic taste of the young man was played by A.I. Kuindzhi, from whom he studied fine art from 1894. He said that nature for the creator is the very first and serious teacher. Kuindzhi taught his students to understand and feel nature. Rylov's painting Field Rowan confirms this.
The charm of the landscape
Arkady Alexandrovich transferred his love of nature to his first professional paintings, which he painted after graduating from the Academy. This is "Ripple", "From the banks of the Vyatka", "Quiet Lake". A few years later he writes his masterpiece Green Noise.
In 1922, Rylov's painting Field Rowan was released. A description of it can be begun with a story about what is depicted in the foreground. In the clearing, which is located on a steep bank, it is simply a paradise for greenery and wildflowers. Bright yellow tansy hats stand out especially. Small round blossoming buds are collected in lush inflorescences. Their sunny colors miraculously harmonize with the emerald shade of the grass carpet. It seems like a wizard weaved it, inventing an intricate pattern.
White flowers are carefree next to yellow. They also fit perfectly into the big picture. On such a warm summer day, the plants exude a dizzying aroma. Arkady Rylov's painting “Field Rowan” evokes a desire to forget about all problems and deeds, right this moment to be in this heavenly place, lie down on a carpet of grass and flowers and inhale heady natural aromas.
"What are you standing, swinging, thin rowan?"
In the midst of such variegation, it is not immediately possible to see the main character of the picture. It is located on the left in the foreground. You can see how carefully a gentle breeze sways her small green leaves, and she stretches her branches up, as if she wants to absorb more of the sun in order to remember him in the cold season.
The mountain ash has all the conditions to grow large and strong. After all, next to it there are no large trees that would obscure it and take nutrients from the earth. On the river bank there is enough moisture, in such a place it is good and comfortable.
Rylov's picture prompts such thoughts. Field rowan admires from the gentle shore to the vast expanses of fields that stretch across the river. Perhaps, as well as a shrub growing on the opposite bank, the mountain ash sees its reflection in a transparent water surface.
River and trees
The painter depicted the water in bright blue oil paint. This color goes well with the rest, adds freshness to the landscape and creates an even more joyful mood.
In the foreground on the right is a group of trees. Unlike mountain ash, they are located close to each other. But they have enough space, and they are satisfied with the growing conditions. Otherwise, these trees would not please the eye with such lush greenery. This helps to understand Rylov’s picture “Field Rowan” (the photo clearly illustrates this idea).
White camps of birches look touching. These trees, like mountain ash, are directed towards the sun, which warms them and creates the necessary conditions for photosynthesis.
Let us raise our eyes to see the sky.
Clouds
Unfortunately, the daylight in this picture we will not see. Indeed, at noon the sun is high, and this part of the sky is not reflected on the canvas. But what we see here is quite enough.
White, fluffy, as if clouds made of light fluff, are floating in the blue sky. They cover trees and plants from scorching rays.
Looking at this picture, you feel how the soul is filled with joy because nature is so good, the world is beautiful. You can look at the pacifying landscape depicted by Arkady Aleksandrovich Rylov, and mentally give thanks to the artist, who is learning more and more new generations to love his picturesque land and homeland even more.
