In 2012, the debut of the group JJ Project, which consisted of two members - JB (JB) and JR (Junior). Before that, the guys had been interns at JYP Entertaiment for 2.5 years. Moreover, they passed solely due to their good looks and good dancing abilities. Initially, the newcomers were shown in a music video that did not make much impression. In 2012, the guys were casted to shoot in the musical drama "Obsessed with Dream-2". Moreover, both played the main roles. The drama, like the first part, was very popular, and mainly because of the guys. After such success, it was decided to create a duet JJ Project.
In May, the promotion of a new project began, during which photo (both joint and each participant individually), as well as video teasers, were released. Soon this was followed by the release of a mini-album and the performance of the guys on stage M! Countdown The video clip for the title song of the album Bounce took first places in the charts of South Korea and attracted the attention of visitors to YouTube. This was followed by promotion of the album and participation in joint concerts with other stars. However, after this, until the spring of 2013, there was no news from the guys. In the spring, it was announced that they would star in the new drama "When a Man is in Love". Junior got a cameo role, and JB played the younger brother of the main character. A lot of rumors appeared around the group: that they will be dissolved, that the composition of the boy band will be updated. However, loyal fans stubbornly hoped for a new album.
In early January 2014, it became known that the guys will join the new GOT7 team, along with five more participants. Fortunately, the GOT7 style (music in particular) corresponded to their previous direction of performance.
Debut
First, newcomers were shown in one of the episodes of the entertainment show WIN. Later, in January, all members of the group were presented to the public, and already on January 15 a video was released for the debut track Girls, girls, girls. On the same day, the first performance of the ripples took place, where they presented three songs from their album, which was scheduled for release on January 20. The official promotion began on January 16 with a performance on M! Countdown
Along with the promotion of the album, the guys starred in the mini-show “Real GOT7”, in which they showed how GOT7 (the songs of the band were loved by many) rehearsed, prepared for the release of the album and participated in various events related to its promotion. And then it went, went.
No, the GOT7 group did not win any awards, but aroused interest in itself due to the unusual choreography: in dance numbers, much attention is paid to the use of various tricks and elements from martial arts.
In April 2014, the release of a full-length program called IGOT7 was planned, however, due to the ferry crash and subsequent mourning, the dates were postponed. As a result, the broadcast began only at the end of May.
In May, the official name was given to the guys fan club. It is interesting that fans took part in this: a competition was created, by taking part in which, everyone could put forward their own version of the name and design for a light stick. The club became known as IGOT7.
At the end of June, the group reappears on stage with completely new material. Guys release a minik with the uncomplicated name GOT Love. During the promotion, they perform at many music venues, arrange fan meetings with fans and shoot the second season of “Real GOT7”.
In October, GOT7 (a Korean band) debuted in Japan, and in mid-November, the guys released their first full-length album Identify, which included 11 songs. Then it became known about the beginning of the first big tour in Asia GOT7 Asia Tour, the beginning of which was outlined at the end of January 2015.
