Barbecue skewers in the oven

Children are capricious people, and it is often difficult to make a child eat, especially when the baby is 2 to 5 years old. So I did not stand aside: I have to fight with my son. But I still want to feed the child, so I decided to start cooking unusual and tasty dishes for him so that the child would be interested in eating. The first thing that came to mind was barbecue skewers in the oven. This dish not only looks original, but also turns out delicious. Consider one of the recipes for the smallest.

1) Chicken kebab with vegetables. The recipe is not complicated, the only thing is, you have to wait until the chicken is pickled. So, in order to cook kebabs in the oven, we need:

  • 300 grams of chicken or chicken fillet (since we are preparing a children's kebab, it is better to use chilled meat rather than frozen);
  • a glass of non-fat kefir for marinade;
  • young zucchini 1 piece;
  • fresh tomatoes 6 pieces (cherry);
  • onions and a clove of garlic;
  • olive oil for vegetables;
  • salt and fresh herbs.

The specified number of products is designed for 3 skewers - respectively 3 servings. First, cut the fillets in small pieces, put in a saucepan, salt, add kefir, mix and add chopped onion with garlic, mix again. We remove the barbecue in the refrigerator for 3 hours, so that the meat is soaked in marinade. Using vinegar when cooking food for children is not recommended, as it can cause digestive upset. Kefir in this case is an ideal option.

When the chicken filet is ready, you need to prepare the vegetables. Rinse the young zucchini thoroughly, cut into rings. Rinse the cherry too, no need to cut. Place the vegetables in a deep plate, grease with olive oil, sprinkle with a little salt and let stand for 10 minutes. While the vegetables are pickled, prepare the skewers. So that they do not burn in the oven, they need to be soaked in cold water for 10 minutes. When everything is ready, skewer all the ingredients: young zucchini - meat - cherry - meat - zucchini - meat - cherry - meat - zucchini. Bake in the oven for no more than 30 minutes so that the meat does not burn. Such skewers on skewers in the oven can be served with rice, mashed potatoes; my little son is eating oatmeal.

Of course, instead of chicken, you can use any meat, for example, rabbit meat or even fish. And in that, and in this case, the dishes will turn out incredibly tender and juicy.

Perhaps adults do not mind tasting meat on skewers in the oven . I want to offer one of the recipes I tested.

2) Pork with lemon on skewers. In general, initially shish kebab was prepared only from lamb, it is considered an oriental dish. Now, barbecue is prepared from any meat in combination with all kinds of vegetables and spices. For pork barbecue we need:

  • 500 grams of lean pork;
  • one fresh lemon;
  • mayonnaise 2 tablespoons;
  • ½ teaspoon mustard;
  • bow 1 head;
  • salt and greens.

The recipe is designed for 4 servings. To start, cut the pork into medium slices, put in a container, salt. Prepare the marinade: mix mayonnaise, mustard and finely chopped greens and onions. Note that we do not use vinegar, it expels the juice from the meat, so if you use vinegar, the meat will turn out to be hard and dry. Combine pork and marinade, mix well and refrigerate for 2 hours. When the meat is ready, string it on pre-soaked skewers, alternating with lemon rings. Bake in the oven for 40-50 minutes. Skewers on skewers in a pork oven are juicy, tasty and not spicy. Such a dish can be served with any side dish and without it.
