According to the plot of the film, Evgeny Koltsov, a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and seasoned thief-recidivist Vitya Sumarokov, nicknamed Sumrak, meet in the zone. By the will of fate and by coincidence, they manage to escape from places of deprivation of liberty and hide in a children's pioneer camp, comfortably furnished on the banks of the river.
Former criminals, in order to wait a certain period of time, impersonate teachers and become pioneer leaders. Dusk, from 15 years wandering around the zones, at first it’s hard - you need to adapt to the children's team. But with the help of the advice of an unexpectedly acquired comrade and a tender love that flared up in his heart for counselor Tana Panteleeva, he becomes attached to children, a new position and is fundamentally changing as a person for the better.
Shooting in the colony
The place where they filmed "High Security Vacations" perfectly conveys the atmosphere described in the book. The first part of the film takes place in a prison atmosphere, in which Dusk and the Rings served time.
The location of the "High Security Vacation" is one of the active colonies. Stone walls, a gloomy dining room, theatrical stages, a prison - these are not scenery, but a real prison in which scenes of the comedy genre were shot.
The film set was located for about two years in the Pskov region of the Ostrovsky region, where, in fact, there were places not so distant, flashed in frames. Having learned that such illustrious actors as Bezrukov and Dyuzhev will play the main roles in the film, the children were happy to expect to see future “prisoners-counselors”.
The first meeting of actors with children
When Dmitry Dyuzhev arrived at the place where the film “High Security Vacation” was being shot, an impudent boy came out to meet him and shouted: “Hey, long, come here!” From such a greeting from a young opponent, the actor first became stunned, and then threatened: "Hey, you, what rude!" But the boy did not relent and repeated his phrase. Unable to withstand such impudence, Dyuzhev grabbed the boy by the ear, which made him joyfully exclaim: "Oh, thank you! You can let go. I will not wash my ear for a week now."
The story with Bezrukov was even more interesting. On the territory where they filmed "High Security Vacations", there were a lot of children. They were awaiting the arrival of Sasha Bely. It seemed to them that now a thug uncle would appear with a gold chain around his neck in a black cloak, but the actor at that moment was in the dressing room and was transformed into a runaway Dusk.
Sergei came out of the dressing room in a vest and tie, scratched with a bandage on his head. The children did not notice the plain-looking uncle. Bezrukov said: "Hello, children!" And only one of them threw an indifferent: "Hello, pioneer." They continued to look forward to Bezrukov, and when, at last, they were told that the same “pioneer” was the famous actor, their disappointment knew no bounds: “Is this lousy ?!”

Very soon, the children and the "runaway bandits" became friends. The guys did not give them a pass: they hung on them, played, joked. The atmosphere was light and fun. A camp town was built on the banks of the river, where they filmed "High Security Vacations", spent Neptune Day there, escaped from the "monster" and fled from wild bees.
