Chocolate Lion Cake

  • 900 grams of superior quality flour;
  • 1 kilogram of sugar;
  • 20 grams of starch;
  • 40 grams of cocoa powder;
  • 12 grams of vanilla or 25 grams of vanilla sugar.

Cooking steps

  1. Divide eggs into proteins and yolks. Beat the whisk with a whisk with two glasses of granulated sugar until airy consistency.
  2. Beat the remaining sugar with the yolks. Combine starch, soda and vanilla sugar, add to flour.
  3. Mix the beaten yolk, flour and the mixture with starch and beat for seven minutes.
  4. Add whipped protein to the mass in parts, without ceasing to mix.
  5. Divide the resulting dough into three equal parts.
  6. Bake each cake for 50 minutes on a round baking sheet at a temperature of 180 0 C.
  7. After baking, allow the cake to cool. Grease the first cake with sour cream and spread the chopped strawberries over it.
  8. Repeat the previous procedure with all the cakes.
  9. Spread the cream over the entire surface of the cake and cool in the refrigerator.

You will need the following:

  • 200 g of milk chocolate (by weight);
  • 200 g of yellow mastic;
  • 100 g of orange;
  • 20 g of chocolate mastic.

Orange mastic for the lion's mane can be replaced with chocolate, then the figure will be the same as in the photo of the cake with the lion located above.

Action algorithm

  1. Milk chocolate must be melted in the microwave. Allow to cool slightly.
  2. Spread the chocolate mass evenly over the entire surface of the cake and cool it in the refrigerator for 60 minutes.
  3. From the orange mastic fashion the body of a lion cub in the form of an oval.
  4. The bases of the hind legs are made of flattened balls. We attach them to the body. From the two small cones we make the legs themselves, we push the nails of the nails with a toothpick and attach them to the bottom of the base.
  5. The front legs are made using the same technology, only slightly longer than the hind legs. We attach them to the body.
  6. We roll up a ball from yellow mastic - this will be the head of a lion. The muzzle, eyes and nose of a lion are made from chocolate mastic.
  7. For the ears you need to form small cakes and in the center insert smaller circles of white mastic. Attach the ears to the head.
  8. From orange mastic using thin sausages make the lion's mane.
  9. Attach the lion's head to the body and carefully place it in the center of the cake.
