However, with prolonged regular use, the development of local allergic reactions (redness, itching, rash), due to increased sensitivity of the patient's skin, is not ruled out. During the treatment of chronic dermatitis, the development of sensitization with respect to other medicines is possible.

In addition, isolated cases of systemic effects of the Baneocin drug (ointment), such as damage to the vestibulocochlear apparatus, ototoxicity, and neuromuscular blockade, were recorded. The above undesirable effects developed in patients with a significant violation of the integrity of the skin.

The pharmaceutical preparation under consideration is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to bacitracin, neomycin and other aminoglycosides; with severe and extensive skin lesions (since the development of drug resorption, leading to the development of an ototoxic effect, is possible)

This drug should not be injected into the external auditory canal if the patient's eardrum is perforated. It is also not used to treat infections of the organs of vision.

An overdose of the drug is characterized by the development of toxic or allergic reactions. The elimination of neuromuscular blockade is performed by neostigmine or calcium preparations.

It is noted that the risk of developing a toxic effect increases if the patient suffers from severe impaired functioning of the kidneys and / or liver.
