Probably every adult, at least once in his life, but faced with a situation where his voice disappeared. It would seem that an hour ago everything was all right, but now instead of normal speech you are making hoarse sounds or you can communicate only in a whisper.
This situation is especially difficult if the patient's work involves constant verbal communication. And there are a lot of such professions. These are teachers, guides, sales consultants, and artists. Naturally, if a person has lost his voice, then he simply will not be able to fulfill his professional duties. What to do in this case?
First, to successfully solve the problem, you need to understand what causes the condition that caused the voice to disappear. And there can be many of these reasons.
For example, you can lose your voice as a result of severe stress, excitement, or nervous illness. If you are simply worried, for example, before a responsible performance, then the usual soothing can help. But the consequences of serious stress often have to be overcome with the help of a psychotherapist.
Another reason that can temporarily lose your voice is the excessive load on the ligaments. This happens if a person is too emotionally ill on the sports platform or is forced to talk for a long time and loudly. If you have lost your voice for this reason, then the best solution to the problem is the rest of the ligaments, that is, you will have to shut up for a while, switching to sign language. Do not try to talk in a whisper, for weakened vocal cords it is a very big load. In addition, it will be necessary to exclude the use of excessively hot and spicy food, as well as soda and strong coffee.
Quite often, the voice disappears during a cold, in this case we are talking about a disease such as laryngitis. This disease should be treated under the supervision of an otolaryngologist. Do not take this disease lightly, if you ignore the doctor’s recommendations and continue to load the inflamed ligaments, you can get a persistent violation of voice formation - dysphonia. In addition, untreated acute laryngitis can become chronic, and then you will lose your voice at the slightest exertion or hypothermia. For example, eat one serving of ice cream, and in the morning find that you have a hoarse voice.
With laryngitis, as a rule, an abundant warm, but not hot drink is prescribed. The proven “grandmother's” method helps a lot - taking warm milk mixed with a spoonful of butter and honey. Inhalations are also shown using decoctions of medicinal herbs - chamomile, eucalyptus, calendula.
But what to do if the voice is lost, and you will have a responsible performance tomorrow? Of course, the best option would be to contact a phoniatrist, a specialist in voice restoration. But since such doctors do not work in all clinics, you can try to use the recipes that traditional medicine offers.
Here, for example, is a recipe that can help in an emergency. We take fifty milliliters of good cognac and heat it to a warm state (you do not need to boil and heat to a burning temperature). Add three tablespoons of honey and three drops of lemon juice to the cognac. We drink in small sips.
A more gentle method for solving the problem of the missing voice is to prepare a kind of black-headed mogul. Beat two eggs with two tablespoons of sugar and add fifty milliliters of cognac to this mixture. Pour into a separate glass of warm water and begin to drink our cocktail, alternating a sip of a naked mogul with a sip of water. This mixture should be drunk before bedtime and immediately go to bed. By morning, as a rule, the voice is restored.
Another old recipe that will help if your voice is gone is carrot milk. Boil a hundred grams of peeled and chopped carrot noodles in half a liter of milk. We filter the resulting broth and use it to drink in small sips and gargle.
In the case of a cold, you can apply the old way to restore voice - put mustard plasters under your knees and on your calves. And in socks you need to pour dry mustard powder, put them on and go to bed.
Be healthy and surprise everyone with your beautiful and sonorous voice!
