In addition to reserpine, the composition of the drug includes such substances as:
- Clopamide.
- Dihydroergocristine.
- Talc.
- Lactose.
- Magnesium stearate.
- Starch.
- Povidone.
Since the form of release of the drug is tablets, in order to improve the taste and ease of use, a special coating is applied to each of them, consisting of sucrose, gum arabic, polyethylene glycol and talc.
The main active ingredient is a strong sympatholytic, which causes a stable decrease in blood pressure. In addition, it has an antipsychotic effect, normalizes heart rate, and stabilizes physiological sleep. Also, reserpine somewhat reduces metabolic processes and metabolism, enhances renal blood flow.
Clopamide, which is also part of the drug, is a sulfanilamide diuretic. And dihydroergocristine effectively dilates blood vessels and causes a persistent hypotensive effect.

Cristepine

If we take into account the sometimes necessary need to replace a drug such as Normatens, analogues in Russia are represented by another well-known medication called Christepin. Its shelf life is also 36 months, and the drug is dispensed in pharmacies strictly upon presentation of a prescription. Normatens tablets have another analogue called Brinerdin. This drug is manufactured by the Slovenian company Krka. This medication is an absolute synonym for the two previous ones. That is, it has the same effect, contains three main active ingredients: clopamide, dihydroergocristine and reserpine, is stored under the same conditions and is taken in the same dosage (up to 3 tablets per day).
