Hot for a birthday: what to cook?

Preparing for the holiday always takes a lot of time and energy. You need to decorate the house, think through the menu, purchase the missing products and put yourself in order. Surprisingly, most women deal with all this easily and simply. True, sometimes even the most experienced housewives have a question about what to cook on the holiday table. Typically, snacks and dessert do not cause such difficulties in finding as a "hot" birthday.

It seems hard to come up with something new. Or, on the contrary, the fear stops spoiling the whole evening with an unsuccessful experiment. A hot dish at any holiday plays a very important role. Any hostess understands this. Therefore, going through the head of the appropriate recipes for "hot" for a birthday, many are lost. But do not despair. Even from ordinary products you can make a festive menu if you serve them beautifully. And most importantly, it does not take much time.

Very often, for example, meat is served in French for a holiday. But you can cook a completely new dish from the same ingredients. In general, a piece of meat (it is best to take pork or veal) with a knife to chop as many holes as possible. In the resulting holes put finely chopped onions, carrots, garlic, bell pepper and herbs. Then, on all sides, it is good to coat the piece with spices and salt. Wrap tightly in foil and bake in the oven for about 1 hour at a temperature of 180 ° C. Cut the prepared meat into pieces and serve with the allocated juice. This "hot" birthday perfectly complements boiled potatoes. To make it fragrant, when cooking it in water, you need to add a couple of cloves of garlic, stalks of dill and parsley. And of course, you need to salt it. And when serving, it is good to season with butter or pour juice from meat, sprinkle with chopped cheese and herbs. You can put boiled potatoes in the center of a large dish, and baked meat at the edges.

If you don’t have time to cook both meat and side dishes, you can make it “hot” for your birthday on the basis of the “two in one” principle. Peppers stuffed with beef and broccoli are perfect for this. For 10-12 guests you will need:

  • 6 peppers;
  • 500 g of beef;
  • 450 g broccoli;
  • 1-2 bulbs;
  • 200 g of cheese;
  • pepper, salt to taste.

Pass meat and all vegetables except pepper through a meat grinder. Add salt, ground pepper to the resulting minced meat and mix. Wash the peppers, cut them in half and remove the stem and seeds. Stuff the halves, sprinkle with grated cheese on top and put the baking tray with them in the oven for 35-40 minutes. Ready peppers are an absolutely self-sufficient dish and do not require any side dishes.

After you managed to pick up the main course for the evening, it is already easier to choose hot birthday snacks . They should simply become an addition to the main menu and not make it heavier. Hawaiian sandwiches are great for these purposes. For them, a table loaf needs to be cut into thin slices, and then each - into another 4 parts. Cut the ham and cheese into thin slices the size of a loaf of bread. Pineapple mugs cut into 8 equal parts. Collect the sandwich in the following sequence. Lubricate a piece of loaf with butter, put a piece of ham on top, then pineapple and cheese. Fasten the entire structure with a toothpick. Bake sandwiches in the oven for 3-5 minutes until the cheese melts.

Of course, the choice of dishes for the holiday should be approached very carefully. Especially if it's "hot" for a birthday. But do not forget that over time, any food can be bored. Therefore, it is worth periodically reviewing your menu and finding a place for experimentation in it. In extreme cases, you can always prepare a small portion for a sample a few days before the holiday.
