- If there are spoiled places - cut off. We remove the core and the stalk. We cut apples into 4 parts.
- Throw prepared apples into the pan and pour water. We put on the fire and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to introduce currants. If the berries have already let the juice in, pour it into the container too.
- Add sugar (once again we remind you to navigate the fruit varieties so as not to overdo it).
- We boil for a short time - literally five minutes.
- Set aside from the fire and let it brew (about an hour).
- Then we bring the ready-made compote of apples and currants to a boil again and immediately pour into prepared sterilized dishes, rolling them with lids. Then the jars should be turned on a towel - well, everything is as it should be when closing the preservation.
If you are going to drink a compote of apples and currants immediately, then you do not need to bring it to a boil again. And once insisted, cool and can be consumed.
If red?
Stewed apples and red currants are prepared in a similar way. Unless you have to add a little more sugar, as this ingredient is acidic.
