Made bronchicum based on plant materials. It is produced in the form of syrup, lozenges and elixir.
Syrup and elixir are poured into bottles of one hundred thirty and three hundred twenty-five millimeters. The lozenges are produced in the amount of twenty pieces per pack, and they are intended to treat only the upper respiratory tract.
The composition of the drug "Bronchicum" includes tinctures from various parts of medicinal plants. Among them are Quebracho bark, primrose and wildflower roots, thyme and grindelia herbs. But if the elixir contains all of the above natural ingredients, then the lozenges are made only of thyme extract. But the composition of the drug "Bronchicum. Syrup" (instructions for use clearly states this), in addition to grindelia, thyme and primrose, includes pimpinella roots and rose hips. In addition, it is made on the basis of natural honey.
Thyme extract has the main effect on the respiratory tract, and the rest of the ingredients are auxiliary. So, thyme helps to reduce swelling of the mucosa, thereby facilitating breathing, reducing cough and irritation. Other components of the Bronchicum extract and syrup, the instructions for use of which are always inside the package, help to remove sputum from the respiratory tract and reduce inflammation of the mucosa.
It is not recommended to use the drug "Bronchicum", the instructions for use clearly indicate this to people who are hypersensitive to the ingredients of the drug. During pregnancy and lactation, the use of this medication must be agreed with the doctor.

For adults and children who are already twelve years old, the dosage of the drug "Bronchicum" is prescribed as follows:
- if an elixir is prescribed, then it is taken four to six times a day, one teaspoon each;
- if syrup, then three to four times two teaspoons per day;
- and if lozenges, then one or two daily three or four times.
When prescribing the medicine "Bronchicum" to children under the age of twelve, but older than six, the dosage is accordingly reduced. Such an elixir can be given daily to a child no more than 0.5-1 teaspoon four to six times, and syrup three to four times, but one teaspoon each. A lozenge is given one three to four times a day.
According to the instructions, for babies from two to six years of age, the syrup is supposed to be given no more than one teaspoon twice a day, and the elixir - for half a teaspoon three to four times daily.
The smallest patients under two years of age are prescribed a three-time intake of only syrup (half a teaspoon of tea).
