Such oils are a huge selection on the shelves in the supermarket: you can find spicy, and with cod caviar, and with herring, and with pieces of red fish. But in one jar there is so little of this yummy, and sandwiches with it leave so quickly. Do not have time to blink an eye, as it is empty.
We have found some cool recipes for you, thanks to which you can cook incredibly tasty homemade caviar oil, which, in addition to the main ingredient, also includes various spices or even pieces of fish fillet. Letβs learn to cook appetizing snacks together.
From herring caviar
We will begin our acquaintance with caviar oil recipes with the simplest and most affordable way. If you often buy salted herring or cook it yourself, be sure to postpone the ingredient we need. It will make an excellent butter for a sandwich. For cooking you will need:
- salted caviar of two herrings;
- 150 g butter;
- 100 g of processed cheese;
- lemon;
- 0.5 tsp lemon pepper.
Change the amount of ingredients depending on the amount of caviar, as well as based on your taste preferences. In addition to these ingredients, you can diversify your homemade oil with herbs, other spices and seasonings.
Cooking
Initially, soften the oil at room temperature. So it mixes better in a blender. Therefore, it is recommended to take the product out of the refrigerator at least 15 minutes before starting cooking.
Cut softened butter into several cubes. Grind processed cheese in the same way. Transfer the ingredients to a blender bowl. Squeeze a tablespoon of lemon juice on top. Sprinkle the ingredients with lemon pepper. If herring roe is well salted, you will not need additional salt for cooking. Add spices and herbs if desired. Mix all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Free caviar from the poultry (sacs). Transfer it and the oil mass into one bowl, mix the ingredients thoroughly together. Use a plug for this.
Transfer the finished mixture to a separate convenient container and refrigerate for an hour, so that the oil freezes again after intensive mixing. After the allotted time, caviar oil can be safely smeared on a fresh bun.
From pink salmon caviar
You can also prepare caviar oil at home from pink salmon caviar. Such sandwiches will be an excellent treat for unexpectedly popping guests, as well as a snack on the festive table.
For cooking you will need:
- 120 g butter;
- 120 g of salmon caviar of pink salmon;
- 80 g of salted red fish;
- 1 tbsp. l lemon juice.
Recipe
Soften the oil, leaving it for 15-20 minutes at room temperature. Then put it in a blender, previously cut into cubes. Pour a tablespoon of lemon juice. Stir the ingredients until smooth.
Grind the red fish fillet into as small slices as possible. Put them in butter. It is not recommended to take too much fillet, because it should not overshadow the taste of caviar, but only emphasize. Lay out the caviar, then mix everything with the fish again. Transfer the mass to a container, close the lid and leave in the refrigerator for an hour.
You can serve such caviar oil by spreading it on a slice of fresh loaf, decorating the sandwich with a tomato circle, olives and herbs.
How to make caviar oil from fresh caviar?
There is another good cooking method. If you have accumulated an impressive amount of caviar, we will tell you how to cook it wisely.
Gently rinse the product under running water in the chintz, remove the films. Then prepare brine - concentrated saline solution. If desired, you can add various spices to it - pepper, bay leaf, etc. For the solution, it is better to use coarse salt - it is much tastier.
Transfer the eggs to a bowl and fill with brine. Leave it in the refrigerator for a day. During this time, she will salt well.
Strain caviar again through chintz. Do not rush to pour the solution, as many useful elements remain in it. Pour the brine into a saucepan and heat on a steam bath or on a very low heat. At the same time, a little vegetable oil can be added to the solution.
Coarse gruel is obtained from brine during cooking. Remove it from the heat and grind it with a blender. In the mass, add slices of soft butter, dry finely chopped dill. Stir the ingredients in a blender.
Add salted caviar to the oil mass and mix by hand, evenly distributing the eggs throughout the mass.
Put ready caviar oil in jars. Allow the oil heated by vigorous stirring to harden again.
