Chicken with dried apricots
A minimum of products for a dish worthy of a festive feast. On ordinary days, itβs also nice to enjoy it. Chicken with dried apricots will rally the family for Sunday lunch. We urgently get these products and proceed:
- chicken carcass;
- dried apricots - 120-150 grams;
- apples - 2-3 pieces;
- mayonnaise - 130 grams;
- garlic - a few cloves to your taste;
- seasonings and salt suitable for chicken.
Technological process
A simple recipe for chicken with dried apricots is subject to even novice cooks. The main thing here is to thoroughly wash the poultry carcass and qualitatively prepare dried fruits. Otherwise, there will be no difficulties.
Let's start with dried apricots. First, wash it under running hot water. Then place in a cup and pour hot water again. So the dried apricots will be freed from sand grains and various small things stuck in folds. After 5-10 minutes, wash the dried fruit again. Done! We cut them in half, or along, or into several parts, as it will be more convenient.
With a sharp knife, we separate in some places the skin from the chicken meat. In improvised pockets we place dried apricots. The cut of each dried fruit should be applied to the meat part of the carcass as much as possible. This moment is important: dried apricots will give their juice right in the process to poultry meat.
Mayonnaise mixed with seasonings and crushed garlic. Rub the inside of the chicken with the resulting sauce. Wash the apples, remove the inedible and chop the thin plates.
We fasten the chicken in a convenient way. You can use wooden toothpicks, skewers or sew it with ordinary thick thread. The whole chicken carcass on top with the remaining three mayonnaise composition.

- bird carcass - 1 piece;
- dried apricots - 200-230 grams;
- prunes - 200-230 grams;
- apples of medium size - 4-5 pieces;
- garlic - to taste;
- natural honey - 2-3 tablespoons;
- mayonnaise - 150 grams;
- salt, seasonings - to taste.
How to cook
Rinse and prepare dried fruits, as in the first recipe. Chop them finely. Wash and chop apples too. You might like the mincemeat from these ingredients. Therefore, you can experiment. Minced fruit will make the chicken more juicy.
We wash the bird carcass outside and inside. We combine honey and mayonnaise in a bowl. We introduce salt, garlic and other aromatic spices into the mixture. We rub the surface of the carcass and its interior with the mixture. We stuff with fruit mixture and fasten (sewn with thread). The oven is heated to 200 degrees and on a greased sheet we send stuffed chicken into it. We extract the finished aromatic dish in 60-70 minutes. The exact time will determine the size of the bird carcass.
Chicken with prunes, bell peppers and dried apricots
For lovers of more delicate dishes, a good recipe for cooking is not chicken carcass, but only its pulp. What do we need from the products:
- chicken breast - 700-900 grams;
- kefir - 0.5 liters;
- dried apricots - 10 pieces;
- prunes - 10 pieces;
- onions - 1-2 pieces;
- sweet pepper - 1-2 pieces;
- garlic - 4-7 cloves;
- vegetable oil - for frying products;
- salt and spices - according to personal preference.
The process of creating a dish
We rinse the bell pepper from the outside, clean everything that is inside it. We cut as you like. Wash dried fruits in hot water. Grind into small pieces. Free the onion from the husk and also rinse with cool water. Shred it is not very large. Cut the chicken into slices.
We will heat the frying pan on the stove and, pouring all the oil intended for the recipe into it, we will send the chopped onion next. Passage it lightly. Add the chicken flesh to the onion and, stirring, fry for 15-20 minutes at a moderate temperature. Do not forget to add the meat for half the time of its preparation. After 15-20 minutes, we will send sliced ββprunes with dried apricots to the chicken and onion. Flavor with the necessary spices. But here we use only half of the estimated number of them. Stew under a closed lid for 6-7 minutes.
We lay the chicken fillet with the accompanying ingredients in a deepened form, previously lubricated with any fat. Mix the kefir in the deep bowl with the rest of the spices. Slightly salted if necessary. We clean garlic cloves. We sell them through a special press. Connect with kefir. Fragrant sauce is ready. If desired, you can add any fresh or dried greens to it.
Pour kefir mixture into the form in which the chicken is laid. Shake this shape lightly to allow the sauce to penetrate all the nooks. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake chicken with dried apricots, pepper and prunes for 40-50 minutes.
