The melodramatic tape of the director and co-author of the script by Dmitry Astrakhan âYou are my only oneâ, released in 1993, is a classic of Russian cinema, a worthy and amazing picture, one of the few successful post-Soviet ones. The film received a lot of film awards: âNikaâ, âGreen Appleâ, âSilver Pyramidâ and the special award âKinotavrâ.
Plot
Embodying the directorâs idea, the actors of the film âYou Have Me Aloneâ told the audience a touching story, the events of which took place in the 1990s, when the state shuddered from the political and economic crisis. At the center of the story is an ordinary family: in his youth, a budding boxer, and now a plant engineer, living "from paycheck to paycheck" Evgeny Pavlovich Timoshin, his wife, gynecologist at the local hospital, Natalya Timoshina, daughter Olga, who is not willing to study, is a short-sighted girl, dreaming of a successful marriage.
The banal everyday routine of the main characters collapses one day due to the arrival of the old acquaintance Eugene, who is currently a representative of a large American corporation, in the capital. Anya Kolyvanova has been unrequitedly in love with Timoshin since childhood and now offers him everything the hero could not have dreamed of â moving to America, a well-paid job and all of herself without a trace. But Eugene remains true to his school love - his wife Natalia.
About the film
The actors of the film âYou are my oneâ, imbued with the sincerity of history, have shown real professionalism in revealing the images of their characters. According to the recognition of the cinema community, this project is the best work of the director. The melodrama, based on the script by Oleg Danilovâs work âWe Are Going to Watch Chapaev,â turned out to be extremely piercing, anguishful and painful. The name of the film cites the line of the song by Yuri Vizbor, supposedly popular in the years of the protagonists' youth, it passes through the whole picture as a refrain.
The lead actor in the tape "You are mine alone"
Alexander Zbruev, People's Artist of the RSFSR, theater and film actor, who embodied the image of the main character in melodrama, very accurately conveyed the feeling that his character is a stranger at this celebration of life. With only one expression of his eyes, he revealed the inner world of his hero - sadness, fatigue and doom are read there.
After graduation, Zbruev enters the Theater School. Schukin. After completing the training, he gets a job in the troupe of the theater. Lenin Komsomol, where the actor plays in plays staged by the famous A. Efros and M. Zakharov. The actorâs debut in the cinema took place in the project of A. Zarha âMy Younger Brotherâ, where the screen partners of the actor were A. Mironov, O. Dahl.
Alexanderâs success as a film actor was strengthened by his roles in the films âTwo Tickets for a Day Sessionâ, âBig Changeâ, âRomance of Loversâ. Sergey Solovyov (âHeiress in a Straightâ, âMelodies of the White Nightâ) and Dmitry Astrahan (âEverything will be Alright!â And âYou Are Alone with Meâ) loved to shoot him in their works. Alexander Zbruev successfully combined the development of his own business with acting, in 2004 he played the last significant role in the cinema, after which he appeared only in minor cameos. In 2014, after a long creative break, the actor created the title key image of the bard of the USSR era in the film âCinema about Alekseevâ.
Leading female images
The actors of the film âYou are my only oneâ were not debutants in the cinema, not counting the young talent Ksenia Morozova, who played the role of Ani in childhood. Two leading female characters were played by remarkable actresses S. Ryabova and M. Neyolova.
Marina Neyolova, a Soviet and Russian theater and film artist, a significant part of her creative biography is working in the Sovremennik Theater, played the role of the wife of the protagonist. In cinema, the actress began with melodramatic roles, gradually expanding her range. She created the most vivid and recognizable images in such films as âDear Elena Sergeyevnaâ, âAutumn Marathonâ, âMonologueâ, âFantasy Faryatyevâ and âYou are my oneâ. Marina Neyolova from the 1990s was filmed extremely rarely, devoting more time to the family. Currently, the actress continues to play in the Sovremennik Theater.
Svetlana Ryabova in the film played the role of a well-groomed, young, beautiful businesswoman Ani Kolyvanova, who was in love with the protagonist since childhood. The actress, a native of Belarus, immediately after graduating from the Minsk Theater Institute moved to the capital of Russia, where she continued her education at the Theater School. Schukin. In the movie, Ryabova played more than thirty roles, among which the most recognizable, in addition to the image of Ani, are the heroines from the films Fathers and Sons, My Husband is an Alien, Summer People and Law. Currently, Svetlana plays in the Moscow Satire Theater.
No less significant
The actors of the film âYou are my oneâ, who embodied the images of secondary characters, were practically not inferior to the main actors in the professionalism and skill of reincarnation. Alexander Zbruev and Mark Goronok met again on the set of the film after participating in the film âEverything will be fine!â. Goronok brilliantly embodied on the screen Zhenya Timoshin in his youth, which favorably affected the overall atmosphere of the picture. The frivolous daughter of Tymoshin Olya was played by Maria Kalenskaya, and the actress Maria Lobacheva showed how different the person was the main characterâs wife Natalia in her youth. The contradictory images of the father of Eugene and his girlfriend-beggar were remarkably revealed by Victor Gogolev and the charismatic Irina Mazurkevich.
