Plot

Embodying the director’s idea, the actors of the film “You Have Me Alone” told the audience a touching story, the events of which took place in the 1990s, when the state shuddered from the political and economic crisis. At the center of the story is an ordinary family: in his youth, a budding boxer, and now a plant engineer, living "from paycheck to paycheck" Evgeny Pavlovich Timoshin, his wife, gynecologist at the local hospital, Natalya Timoshina, daughter Olga, who is not willing to study, is a short-sighted girl, dreaming of a successful marriage.

The banal everyday routine of the main characters collapses one day due to the arrival of the old acquaintance Eugene, who is currently a representative of a large American corporation, in the capital. Anya Kolyvanova has been unrequitedly in love with Timoshin since childhood and now offers him everything the hero could not have dreamed of — moving to America, a well-paid job and all of herself without a trace. But Eugene remains true to his school love - his wife Natalia.

The actors of the film “You are my one”, imbued with the sincerity of history, have shown real professionalism in revealing the images of their characters. According to the recognition of the cinema community, this project is the best work of the director. The melodrama, based on the script by Oleg Danilov’s work “We Are Going to Watch Chapaev,” turned out to be extremely piercing, anguishful and painful. The name of the film cites the line of the song by Yuri Vizbor, supposedly popular in the years of the protagonists' youth, it passes through the whole picture as a refrain.

Alexander Zbruev, People's Artist of the RSFSR, theater and film actor, who embodied the image of the main character in melodrama, very accurately conveyed the feeling that his character is a stranger at this celebration of life.
