The medicine "Ceforal Solutab", its analogues (medicines "Supraks", "Iksim Lupine", "Pantsef") belong to the category of antibacterial agents. The active substance is cefixime.

The medicine "Cephoral Solutab" is a synthetic agent of the third generation cephalosporin series. The tool has a bactericidal effect associated with inhibition of the synthesis of microbial cell wall. The drug is resistant to beta-lactamases (antibiotic-destroying compounds that are produced by gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria).

The maximum effectiveness of the drug is noted three or four hours after administration. Eating does not significantly affect the level of absorption of the drug.

The drug "Ceforal Solutab" instruction recommends for infectious lesions of the ENT organs and respiratory tract, acute or chronic urinary tract infections. The drug is prescribed for uncomplicated gonorrhea and other pathologies of an infectious and inflammatory nature caused by bacteria that are sensitive to the medication.

Treatment of uncomplicated lesions of the lower urinary tract in women lasts 1-3 days.

When using the medication, side effects are likely to develop. The drug may cause transient leukopenia, eosinophilia, pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, or thrombocytopenia. Very rarely, in practice, there have been cases of disorders of the coagulation function.

Allergic reactions in the form of itching or urticaria are rarely observed. Single side effects include Lyell syndrome (the drug must be canceled in this case). Other manifestations of allergies may be associated with the development of hypersensitivity to the drug.

In some cases, taking the medicine “Ceforal Solutab” may cause dizziness, abdominal pain, pseudomembranous colitis, vaginitis, genital itching, cholestatic jaundice or hepatitis.
