The action "Carrier" (2002) became so successful that two sequels followed after it. Directing, special effects, stunts, the play of the actors of "Carrier-2" - the 2005 film, is not inferior to the original and captivates the audience with exciting adventures, chases, fights and unobtrusive humor.
Jason Statham's Hero
Frank Martin is a character in The Carrier films invented by Luke Besson and Robert Kamen, portrayed in a trilogy by Jason State. Frank - a former commando, a specialist in sabotage work, led a search and liquidation team, carried out missions in Lebanon, Syria, and Sudan. Disappointed in his senior officers and military service in general, he resigns. Frank uses his unique driving skills when working as a courier carrier engaged in the delivery of special, often illegal, baggage, the contents of which he is never interested in. Contact with customers with their maximum anonymity, Martin reduces to the rules set by him, requiring customers to strictly follow them, up to the termination of the contract. The services of a shaky and reliable carrier are paid dearly and provide Frank with a very comfortable life.
When fulfilling contractual obligations for the transportation of goods, Martin sometimes has to use his army skills, although he does not at all strive to heroize. In all films, Frank Martin is portrayed as a flawless sniper and a true professional in hand-to-hand combat. But special attention was paid to his skill as a virtuoso driver, capable of performing impossible maneuvers, ideally controlling the most difficult situations. In the movie "Carrier-2," melee fights were remarkably beaten, in which Frank improvises with various objects, using them against his opponents.
Performer Frank Martin
Until 2002, Jason Statham had already starred in six films, but it was the role of Frank Martin in "The Carrier" that became stellar in the career of the actor. Continuing the story of a passionless lone hero, Stateem was again excellent in the film "Carrier-2" (2005). In the movie actors, State came from the modeling business in 1998. His image of a sports, but ordinary guy impressed both the filmmakers and the audience. He performs all his fights and stunts in films, including the “Carrier” trilogy, according to his own script, and this is not surprising.

State became interested in martial arts when he moved from his parents to Great Yarmouth. Before that, in his hometown of Shirebrook (central England), Jason grew up next to football player Vinnie Johnson, who introduced State to the game. For five years, the young man acted as part of the football team of his gymnasium, sharing this passion with a passion for diving. For twelve years, Jason was a member of the British National Diving Squad and participated in the 1990 British Commonwealth Games.
State is considered a specialist in several types of martial arts: karate, kickboxing and Wing Chun Kung Fu. Together with his first director and friend Guy Ritchie, he practices Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Other actors and roles
Carrier-2, a 2005 film, brought together an interesting acting team. Alessandro Gassman plays the unprincipled villain Gianni Cellini, able to infect many people with a new virus for profit. His passion Lolu, perfectly mastering the technique of hand-to-hand combat, was performed by the American actress, singer and model Kate Nauta. This was her debut in cinema.
Six-year-old Jack, Frank Martin's ward, was played by Hunter Clary. The role of Audrey Billings, Jack's beautiful but not too happy mom, went to star model Amber Valletta. The father, forever busy with his duties as a high-ranking government official, was executed by Matthew Modin.
In the film "Carrier 2" (2005), supporting actors were no less vivid than the main performers. Frank Martin's friend Inspector Tarconi, who came on vacation from France, was played by François Berlean. And Hunter Clary, better known as a voice actor, represented FBI agent Jack Billings. Jason Fleming portrayed Russian doctor Dmitry, a minion of Gianni Cellini.
