Remembering what year is coming, the housewives strive to put on the table a dish with the corresponding name - “Monkey” (it will be a salad, a cake or anything else - it does not matter). Salad ideas seem to be the most successful: fuss less, the dish will be eaten if not on New Year's Eve, that's right before Christmas, and the table will take on an elegant and funny look. Of course, salads for the New Year (Monkeys), not everyone should have the appearance of a monkey, but at least one is mandatory! Moreover, the main necessary skill is to give the dish the correct look.
Salad "Monkey": recipe number one
Let's step back a little from the established traditions and change the basins of Olivier, coupled with an unchanged fur coat. Let the salad for the year of the Monkey be unusual, but always tasty. To start, two good chicken fillets are baked. You can cook it, but the taste will be quite fresh, and the dish will not be juicy enough. Chicken meat is chopped with three steep eggs and a small onion. A pair of apples without skin and a 100-gram slice of cheese are rubbed and attached to the rest of the ingredients. The salad is seasoned with mayonnaise, peppered and, if necessary, salted, after which it is laid out on a flat large plate in the shape of a monkey's head. The muzzle is made out with shredded cheese, a small cup is made from nut crumbs, the nose, eyes and smile are marked with black olives. It turns out a completely believable monkey. It will be based on boiled chicken (400 grams); you can remove it from the legs, if you do not like breasts, and cut into cubes. The meat is laid out on a dish according to the pattern of the monkey’s head and smeared with mayonnaise. From above the surface wakes up with canned peas (except for ears). Two onions and a third kilo of champignons are finely chopped and fried; in the cooled form are distributed on peas - and again mayonnaise. A quarter kilogram of pitted prunes is steamed and finely cut. Dried fruit should be acidic; if caught sweet, it is mixed with two pickles. Half of the prunes are placed on the face and also lubricated. Five cool eggs are divided into yolks and squirrels. The latter rub; the whole head is sprinkled with them, only a smile is left. Again mayonnaise, and on top is a layer of chopped walnuts. A grated yolk pours out a face with the formation of a nose, eyes are made of boiled protein, and hair is made of deferred prunes. The monkey, as in the cartoon, is sure to become the main dish on the table!

This time we will have a flaky “Monkey”. The salad contains boiled eggs, carrots and potatoes (4 pieces each) and 200 grams of chicken. All must be boiled in advance in different dishes, what needs to be cleaned, meat cut, all the rest grated, including four medium-sized pickles. The layers are smeared with mayonnaise and collected in the following sequence:
- Potato.
- Chicken.
- Cucumbers
- Canned peas (you will need an incomplete jar).
- Carrot.
- Eggs divided into yolks and squirrels and grated in different bowls.
Just from them the monkey face is "drawn". Ears can be made from round sausage boiled sausages, and eyes, nose and mouth can be made from improvised materials: olives, strips of sweet pepper or chopped nuts.
Hepatic "Monkey"
Enthusiasts will surely pay attention to this recipe. Moreover, this is a rather simple “Monkey” - the salad basically contains a liver (300 grams), three salted - not pickled - cucumbers, a large carrot and a rather big onion. The remaining ingredients are needed only for decoration: tomato, cool egg, a couple of olives and cream cheese. The step-by-step process of building a salad looks like this.
- The liver is cooked in salted water until tender and cooled.
- The peeled carrots are rubbed, the onion is finely chopped, the vegetables are fried in sunflower oil, with pepper and salt.
- Most of the liver and cucumbers are cut into cubes. A small piece of liver rubs, and ears are cut from another.
- All prepared components are combined, seasoned with mayonnaise and spices.
- The salad is displayed on the dish in the form of a muzzle. Ear patterns fit in the right place.
- The middle part of the muzzle is sprinkled with grated liver, the lower jaw - with cheese crumbs.
- The Christmas hat on the monkey is made out with chopped tomato; a smile is cut out of it. The edge of the cap and bubo on it are sprinkled with grated protein, and the monkey's eyebrows with cheese.
- The eyes will be olives, the nostrils will be the semicircles of cucumber.

Almost vegetarian New Year’s salad “Monkey” is very interesting and tasty. For him, three medium beets are baked until soft. You can cook, but there will be excess moisture, and the dish will drain. The root crop is peeled and rubs coarsely. A large green apple with a peel is cut into small sticks. The average onion crumbles - you can take the usual onion, but tastier with a white salad. Three boiled eggs are cut into standard cubes. They combine with beets; a little mixture is left for decoration, the rest is added apples, onions, peppers, mayonnaise and salt. After kneading from the salad, the head of the monkey is made. It is covered with left beets. The top of the muzzle is covered with grated egg white, the bottom with yolk. Eyes are made from olives, mouth and ears are made from strips of red sweet pepper. A few hours of mutual exchange of juices and flavors, and the salad is ready to eat.
Fruit idea
As you know, monkeys are very fond of fruits. So without them, the New Year's table can not do. In addition, such a salad for the year of the Monkey will be most liked by children. We take a not very large mango, a small pineapple (also canned one is suitable), two kiwis. Fruits are washed, those that need it are peeled and cut in proportionate pieces. If you took pineapple in canned food, first drain the pour from it. The mixture is folded into a salad bowl, the flesh pulled from the passion fruit is laid on top. Pouring will consist of half a glass of orange juice and a stack of lime or lemon juice. Both should only be wrung out. If the dressing seems sour, you can supplement it with a spoon of honey. The dish is sprinkled on top with thin strips of mint and lemon balm leaves.
