Career

In April 1981, he began working at the well-known Lenfilm studio as a mechanic in filming equipment. From 1983 to 1988, Dmitry studied at the VGIK at the directing faculty, and, as a student, took part in the filming of D. Dolin's painting entitled “Sentimental Journey to the Potato”.

The nineties of the last century became very productive for Meskhiev - Dmitry directed a huge number of commercials and music videos.

From 1990 to 2001, Meskhiev worked as a production director at the same Lenfilm studio, and in 2001 he went to the Turtle film company, where he became a producer. After another seven years, Dmitry was appointed director of the branch of the company "World Russian Studios." And in 2010, she became her main producer.

The next year, Meskhiev was already chairman of the Committee on Culture of the Government of St. Petersburg, and in 2012 left this post of his own free will. In the same year, Dmitry created his own company “Cinema Production”, which was engaged in the production and production of film and television projects. For the next two years, his company produced and produced the art painting "Battalion" together with other companies.

From 2015 to this moment Dmitry is the General Director of the State Autonomous Culture Institution of the Pskov Region “Theater and Concert Directorate”.

Personal life

Dmitry Meskhiev prefers not to talk about his personal life. But his fans know very little - for example, that the director was married several times.

In 2005, he married for the third time actress of the Lensovet Theater Laura Lauri. Dmitry shot his wife in one of his paintings entitled “The Princess and the Pauper,” but the marriage did not last very long, and after a short time the couple broke up.

Their acquaintance took place on the samples of the same film "Princess and the Pauper". The couple worked a lot together, but, despite this, the marriage also broke up, and Christina and Dmitry broke up by no means friends.
